Loved it!Posted Oct 22, 2014
Stayed 3 nights and loved it!! Lovely hotel with nice big room. Had wonderful breakfast at restaurant in hotel. Close enough to walk everywhere! Great Gino's East right across the street! Only issue was our room was cold at times with no real control with thermostat. Would definitely recommend and return!! We are married in our 50s.

Great location next to all the sitesPosted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: Great location
Cons: Update bed and bedroom. Curtains didn't close so couldn't have a completely dark room which I need to sleep
Lovely hotel and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful they even told us about a fireworks night happening when we arrived which was a nice start to our time in Chicago. The hotel is lovely, the only disappointing aspect was that are room was not updated and didn't look like the pictures on expedia although I think this was because they were in the process of doing the hotel up. The room did smell of damp but after having the heating on the smell soon disappeared and the bed springs creaked. The bathrooms are all new. The staff are a credit to the hotel and we did enjoy our stay. I would recommend this hotel.

Very central locationPosted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: Clean and comfortable as a place to rest. Quiet considering its central location.
Cons: Flooding the bathroom every time I used the shower.
Location: In the heart of downtown. The Art Institute of Chicago and Grant Park are a few blocks away.
Well located just off the Loop, it's functional and pleasant without being especially exciting or charming. Ideal for business visitor or busy tourist. Handy for entertainment district and some of the sights (e.g. Art Institute). Good bathroom: clean and seemed recently redecorated. Would suit business traveller or those planning on seeing the sights of central Chicago: the room was a reasonable size (especially for one person) and there's a proper desk so you could work there. Staff were mainly helpful though sometimes a bit brusque.

Small boutique hotel well located in downtown.Posted Oct 12, 2014
Pros: Small boutique feel; somewhat less expensive than other downtown hotels.
Location: Near Art Institute. Easily accessible on Blue Line from O'Hare Airport.
Very nice hotel with large room, but the nights I was there the heating system had not been fully revved up and my room was cold, despite the engineer's claiming it would steadily warm up. Room service soup arrived without a cover, also cold [adjusted off]. Lovely bathroom and excellent bed.

Central location to most tourist sites of ChicagPosted Oct 9, 2014
We found our hotel easily from the orange line Washington State Library station. We were greeted by Showtime the doorman, who welcomed us to the hotel. Check in was quick and we stayed in room 220 which was big and roomy. He was kind of pushy when it cam to restaurants for deep dish pizza. We ended up going to a place that was a 10-15min walk from the hitel, whereas he tild us to go across the street to a place that was packed. Our restaurant wasn't super busy so we were seated and the food was quick and delicious. Some issues we had with the room was mostly centered in the bathroom, which had electric outlets that didn't work, the shower curtain barely reached the tub so the water went everywhere on the floor and the water pressure in the tub was mediocre.

I was pleasantly surprised! Was greeted by a professional staff that smiled and couldn't be more helpful. A lovely boutique hotel. When I am in downtown Chicago, this is my place to stay.

Old Comfortable HotelPosted Oct 7, 2014
Pros: I liked the fact that it was walking distance to the Art Institute, the Loop and Subway was nearby. The hotel was small, charming and comfortable
Cons: Had not view - a brick wall was what we were facing. Not much you can do there....
Location: Very good location. close to many touristy sites.
A very good experience - for a first time in Chicago. Hotel with character and charm.

Pros: Easy to park with valet service. Rooms were clean. Bathrooms updated. Quiet! Staff couldn't have been any nicer.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
Location: Location is good. Walkable to Grant and Millenium parks. A little off the center of activity, but very accessible to everything.
