“The Place to Stay in Downtown Chicago”
The hotel is beautiful inside and out. This landmark hotel has preserved it's classic elegance in the room, it's restaurant, and in every detail. It also has a beautiful view of downtown Chicago. It is within walking distance to the major theaters and dining in Chicago, and has easy access to transportation. The staff are very friendly and pleasant. I really enjoyed my stay here, and highly recommend Hotel Burnham to anyone wanting to stay the heart of Chicago.
“Our holiday stay at the Burnham”
The Burnham is a wonderful smallish hotel, kitty corner from the old Marshall field's Building and just a block from the Picasso sculpture. The neighborhood just has a nicer, "old Chicago" feel than the glitzy, garish Mag Mile. And the hotel is a gem. Beautifully decoated yet homey. Wonderful dining room.bar. And a very friendly, accommodating staff – one of the best I've ever encountered. Looking forward to staying there again soon!
“Thanksgiving”
Watched The Parade and Shopped and Dinned. It was Great
“Special request was not granted!”
All I wanted was to be in the quiet room for a good night sleep. The hotel didn't bother to read my special request at all though I made a reservation far before my visit. Upon checking in, I couldn't be relocated to the quieter room, so I had 3 tired days and nights. Would never go back there!
“Burnham is more than just Architecture”
A hotel which is rleiably good ,always up to and exceeding the standards of boutique hotels. One where you are treated like a guest and where nothing other than a remarkable experience happens.
“Smaller than expected but great for something different!”
I believe I booked the most basic room with a queen sized bed. It was much smaller than expected, there was no view out the window but an enclosed duct shaft, and a buzzing coming from the closet....but still a cool little room and something much different than your every day hotel. Pictures only accurately represented the bedding decoration of my room. There was no "pillow library" like the description says and the room didnt have a coffee maker; they charged an outrageous amount in the lobby instead. Better off walking a block to a coffee shop. I still rated this hotel highly though because it was in an awesome location to get to lots of different places, had so much more character than the normal hotel, and the staff, including valet, was incredibly kind and helpful!
“Wonderful Hotel”
Our stay at the Hotel Burnham couldn't have been nicer. The staff was great. They always greeted us with a smile. The Hotel Burnham will be our choice the next time we visit Chicago.
“Fabulous Hotel in Perfect Location”
Great service in the hotel restaurant, as well as staff for valet parking and hotel registration desk; beautiful view of Chicago from our 15th floor room; waiter & restaurant manager were very helpful accommodating our obscure food allergy; just a block from the Chicago Cultural Center, Millenium Park, Macy's, & lots of other terrific city attractions. It'll be hard to do better than this hotel if you'd like to be in this neighborhood.
“Hotel Burnham Excellent”
Third time we have stayed at the Burnham. Everything was great! Highly recommended.
“Lots of character”
I picked this hotel on a whim because of the location. We wanted to go to the 5:00 wine reception on Friday and walk out to Millenium Park for a free concert at 6:30. We got a great little hotel with a terrific and friendly staff. We were surprised to find that they all greeted us by namewhenwver they saw us in the lobby. Conveniently located near the subway, elevated train (the loop) and the Macy's flagshipstore. The restaurant had a nice breakfast with homemade doughnuts. We didnt have a chance to get dinner there, but if you show your room key, its 20% off. We'll come here again.
