Very Helpful Staff

Posted Apr 22, 2014
Pros: Very stylish décor, comfortable bed, great shower, wonderful staff.
Location: House of Blues is across from entrance, near Chicago
The staff was very friendly and the rooms clean with a very modern décor. We have stayed in five different hotels in the downtown Chicago area the past eight years or so, and the Hotel Chicago was definitely the best value. We will be back.

Better Bargains Elsewhere

Posted Apr 20, 2014
What appeared a good deal was offset by additional charges for the kids in our room. WIFI was an extra charge and self-parking was not allowed-- required to use $65 valet service.

Fantastic hotel. Perfect location.

Posted Apr 17, 2014
Pros: The location for River North and the staff.
Location: Minutes from Michigan Avenue for designer shopping. Easy access to the river cruises and bus tours.
We stayed in this hotel whilst visiting our daughter who is living in Chicago for her year out (3rd year) of uni of Birmingham. Recently renamed and refurbished, Hotel Chicago offers great value for money (via Expedia) and the perfect location for exploring Chicago. Rooms were a generous size for a city hotel and well appointed. The real selling point though is the staff, particularly the doormen/bell boys who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Thank you Chicago; you're a fantastic city!

Wi Fi would have been nice!

Posted Apr 14, 2014
We were very pleased with our hotel, we had got a good price by choosing a mystery hotel. I was difficult to find, poorly signed and not obvious entrance. The hotel was clean and efficient. However my main complaint was a charge for Wi fi, this should be standard and included now and not an extra charge. Apart from this everything else was very good and and we had a ghood stay - it was conveniently located for everything and very close to the river.

Beautiful room but elevator noise

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Location Location Location
Cons: disclose the elevator location and possible noise and maybe provide complementary soft disposable earplugs in the room.
Location: House of Blues, Chicago Theater, many places to eat and drink
Loved our room! What a nice suprise at how posh the junior suite was. Only draw back to this room was that it backed up to the elevator so we heard that noise all night. Next time I would bring ear plugs. I inquired and all of the junior suites are this close to the elevator. Will stay here again for sure, just maybe another room type

Great value, well located

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Cons: The place is virtually hidden. Needs more signage!
Was frustrating trying to find it. Although the address is Dearborn, the hotel does not front Dearborn and there is no indication of it on the street. You must access it from State. Once in front of the hotel it self it is still hard to spot! However, the staff is great, the room was fine and the location can't be beat.
