“Great Hotel”

Very cute decor-it was like stay at a an upscale beach resort in downtown Chicago. The staff all took great care of us. We came in late, very tired and they made sure we had everything we need and had it quickly so we could get some rest. Highly recommend.

“Good Review”

No room service because corporate ordered replacement of restaurant carpet within seven days. Corporate did not consider convenience of guests a priority which is typical of all corporate management

“Not at all impressed.”

The hotel was out of the way. The hotel was dirty and very dated. The tiles were chipped, dirty and all of the woodwork was chipped and dirty. The hotel was very noisey with cheap laminate floor. Not at all what you would expect in Chicago, maybe a cheap tropical location. The staff was unfriendly, almost rude.

Area recommendations

I like the North Mag. Mile. It is close to shopping and restaurants. Although the Indigo was listed in this area and it was very far from where I wanted to be.

“Comfortable and convenient”

I loved the decor. Very centrally located to our activities. Nice room, not large but clean and very comfortable. Although I am not sure why they would put employees who don't enjoy interacting with patrons at the front desk. There is only one chance to make a first impression.

“Great escape to chicago”

One block away from the red line in a nice residental Area. Quiet rooms, a little small but bright and totally comfortable. Great gym facilities, bar and very reasonably priced breakfast items. We especially liked the convenience of walking just a couple of blocks to Rush for a wide variety of great dining. We felt totally safe.

The gold coast where our hotel was located was convenient for our needs.

“Very impresed with the roon”

This room was done very nice and utilized the space in the room to fit everything in but still had room. The only thing I could suggest is a full length mirror for when you are getting ready to go out.

The Lincoln park is a very nice area to go and visit

“A hotel with a difference”

Many hotels are just like any other. You could be in one just as easily as another. There is nothing distinctive to them. At the Indigo, I felt I was in *this* hotel, one different from others. I liked the colour scheme in the room. And everything else was great. Having read other reviews, the car parking seemed expensive so I did a little research beforehand and found a nearby garage (on W. Elm Street I think) that was significantly cheaper and just left my car there for the two days I was in Chicago.
