Nice hotel, interesting decor, friendly staff

From the beginning the bell hop Edgar was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He asked the reason of our stay which was my girl friends birthday and he personally delivered a bottle of wine to our room. Great overall experience.

I like. Good location and nice rooftop bar.

Not luxurious or roomy but a solid classic to stay in. Worth a night in for the location and history.

Nice hotel in Lincoln Park area of Chicago

Posted Nov 14, 2014
Pros: Location, close to Lincoln Park and Old Town, large room, friendly staff, good restaurant on premises
Cons: Robes would be nice, and more shelf space in the bathroom
Location: See above
To our delight, we were given a corner room with a bottle of wine awaiting us! Very comfy and quiet!

Good location, mediocre hotel

Posted Nov 8, 2014
The hotel is showing its sge. Our suite was very small and angular. The heating unit was extremely noisy so we turned it off to sleep. The two bathrooms were tiny. There was no refrigerator or minibar. We ordered a minimal room service breakfast by calling the front desk because the television menu only listed dinner. It took forever and the cappuccinos arrived cold. There were no robes. The bed was moderately comfortable. Our partial lake view was from three small windows - two in the bedroom and one in the small living room. It was $1380 for three nights in a mediocre hotel in a convenient location. We wouldn't stay there again. It was too bare bones for the money and our taste.

Was there for a Trade show. Eveything was fine. This hotel was pet friendly but eveything was nice a clean. No allergy attack.

A bit funky but nice

Posted Nov 7, 2014
Pros: Staff, and doorman were great
Cons: Did not give me a late check out time...well, yes, but only went from 12:00 to 12:30.
Location: Nice neighborhood and only a short taxi ride to the Magnificent Mile. Very well done Chicago History Museum at the end of the block.
All in all a nice hotel but a bit over-priced, though largely due to hotel demand in Chicago that weekend. The suite was nice and had two separate bathrooms so if you were a family, or two sets of friends, you could each have your own space at night. The restaurant attached was good, modern design but comfortable. Staff were very friendly.

It was fine but I was in at 2 am out at 7 am

Posted Nov 5, 2014
Pros: Like I said, in at 2 am out at 7 am. In the morning, seemed like a youngish crowd lots of 25 year olds.
Location: Seems like a nice neighborhood - across from Lincoln Park park, in the city neighborhood of Lincoln Park, 1.5 mile to North Michigan area bus or taxi.
2 am night staff very polite. Seems like a nice neighborhood - across from Lincoln Park park, in the city neighborhood of Lincoln Park, and towards the downtown or south side of Lincoln Park.

Practically Perfect

We have just spent 5 fantastic nights at the Hotel Lincoln. If we visit Chicago again we will definitely stay here again. Fantastic location, very helpful staff, lovely spotless room - there is nothing to fault in this hotel.
