“not for me”
The Monaco is in a terrific location. The hotel is attractive and well maintained. But the building is old and not sound proofed. First night I was awakened every 15 minutes by the "El" which is very close by. So the hotel moved me to the back side. On that side there is a parking garage with single lane ramps; the drivers honk their horns at every turn. NO sleep at all. Great location but I would never go back.
“Great place”
We stayed for a quick weekend trip to Chicago and everything about the hotel was wonderful. Check-in was quick and easy. The hotel is downtown and in a great spot. The room was clean and large, especially compared to some of the pictures of other hotels downtown. I wouldn't hesitate going there again!
“The Best Thanksgiving!!”
Hotel staff incredibly friendly and out of their way to be helpful. The room was fun and we loved Esmerelda...our goldfish. The hosted wine tasting was fabulous. Excellent location to the Thanksgiving Day parade, great restaurants for a traditional holiday meal (hotel has an excellent little fitness center to visit afterward!), and all sorts of great shopping on Black Friday. We can't wait to go back....we're trying to come up with excuses to take another weekend in Chicago!
“Nice hotel”
Conveniently located hotel. Friendly stuff. Would visit again.
“pretty good hotel”
good service, great location and comfort room. The only con is they don't have water boiler in the room but you can call room service for hot water.
“Will definately return!”
The Monaco Hotel was ane excellent place to stay. All personnel was very nice and friendly!
“The best hotel in Chicago!”
Price is reasonable. Good hotel. Good workers. Awesome!
“Comfortable, boutique hotel”
My room was great. It was clean and spacious. Water power a bit puny. Liked having the robes. Front desk could have been a bit more helpful. I was checking out to move to another hotel since Monoco was booked for my last nite in Chicago. Used online service (not expedia) to book another hotel, but the reservation fell through and I was without a hotel room. I asked if Monaco could put me up by any chance. There response was "no" which was understandable but they didn't really help me find another room or would they find out about ther hotels for me. Not really their.fault it would have been nice to have more help whe. I was facing sleeping in a hotel lobby as my only option. I went over to the hotel where my conference was and they worked very hArd to find me a Room, put me on a wait list and called me 2 hours later when cancellation occurred. That's service!
“Favorite Hotel in Chicago”
I come here on business fairly frequently and always stay at this hotel. It's become like a second home. Facilities are comfortable and stylish, rooms are clean and fairly spacious. You get a lot for your money here.
“Awesome place and location!”
Wow - the room was GREAT! It had 4 grottos and a huge soaking tub and a goldfish - very cool! We were staying there because my fiance was running in the marathon, so it was nice and close for walking to the starting line. I'd definitely stay again - great location and beautiful!
