“SAX hotel - a great discovery”

Room was comfortable. Furniture was modern and edgy. Good television reception but no printed guide with channels. Great view of the river, and the two round buildings seen in films. Note that the House of Blues restaurant is directly outside the lobby door, across the driveway. There is also a bowling alley, adjacent to the hotel, with decent food and drink. Ample elevators so that you never have to wait, arriving or departing. The Trump building is across the street, and it's a short walk across the river to additional shops, restaurants, etc. The hotel is centrally located and near major attractions. There is nothing I would change about the room except that I would add a coffee maker. However, free coffee and tea was available in the lobby each morning, so that too turned out okay. My one complaint was that on the last day, the housekeeper did not restock my amenities (shampoo, etc.). I did not complain, but I actually retain them and take them to my church, where these items are distributed to the homeless. She may have been frustrated that I cleared off the bathroom counter daily.

“Solid Hotel”

Hotel Sax is a quality hotel...its at a great location right in the heart of Chicago's most prime hotspots...if ur going to a show at the House of Blues then this hotel is perfect!! ITs like 10 feet away. There is so much around, you cant possibly do it all in one day....overall quality of the hotel is top notch with a great night life...in and around the hotel. The bar is impressive and at around 10 or 11pm its like a night club it self....very satisfied with my stay!!

“High expectations were met”

Have heard very good things about the Sax hotel. My friend really wanted to stay there. We got a good deal on Expedia and so were able to. Lobby was beautiful and the staff was very profressional. Loved the decorations in the room. We had a great time!

“First Time Was Definitely A Charm”

We were very pleasantly surprised by the free upgrade when we checked in! They did their best to try and accommodate our request for an upper level room with a city view. The view was a bit limited but thrilling none the less just to have the city of Chicago as a night light ! Everyone we met seemed eager to help or advise for our first time actually spending time in Chicago enjoying the sights. We were within easy walking distance of all major attractions and right next door to the House of Blues where we celebrated our son's Valentine's Day birthday (his first one away from home). Thank you all for a wonderful first visit and making our son's 19th birthday one that he's still talking about to all of his friends : )

“Chicago”

I've stayed before at the Sax, and it was great, this time was even better if possible. The rooms aer exceptional, the staff are friendly, helpful and go above and beyond at the hotel and Bin 36 restaurant. I love the location, room decor, and ease of getting around. Its a perfect spot in downtown Chicago to stay at. Close to everything, cabs are always waiting outside 24/7-that was a plus for our trip. Breakfast and room service were excellent, although pricey but that's expected. The actual cost for our room via Expedia was a steal. When we checked in they upgraded us without even asking so it was well worth it. I love that the HOB is right there too, a plus for dinner and a concert...
