Great hotel!Posted Jul 22, 2014
Wonderful hotel, it's rather large but easy to navigate. I recommend the stay and park room, it gives you a cheaper parking deal. To park anywhere is super expensive.

Wonderful location and pricePosted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Location, price, friendliness, amenities
Cons: Taxi line was far too long. We utilized standing outside of the west tower because it was much quicker.
Location: Perfect location near Michigan Avenue, boat tours, EVERYTHING!
We brought a bachelorette party to Chicago, and this hotel was in a great location for us. They were able to put us all on the same floor. The room size, especially for a large city like Chicago, was great. The market downstairs was stocked with great items too.

Only stayed one night. Check-in was prompt and pleasant. Room was very clean and quiet. Within walking distance of the Loop and the Mag Mile. Self check-out worked without a hitch.

Pros: It was comfortable
Cons: They could take away the snacks and mini bar with it being so EXPENSIVE
Location: We loved the location we were able to walk to the Nacy Pier as well as walk to the millenium center.
We were out on the town so we weren't at the hotel to much.

Not family friendly. VERY disability friendly.Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Dining and drinking without even leaving the building. Sweet smiles from staff everywhere.
Cons: Look into automatic-opening doors on accessible rooms, and lose the snack booby-traps.
Location: Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum, Museum of Science and Industry, Gino's East Pizza
They have the rooms booby-trapped with goodies in a tray on the desk with sensors that automatically charge the room if you so much as touch them. We were fortunate that our kids were old enough to listen to us, but I can only imagine the pain felt by a family with children who are a handful. I'm not saying that makes this a bad hotel - just warning that it's not for families. Our daughter (6 yrs) is in a wheelchair and they set us up with a very accessible room - the sink had no cabinet so she could reach and wash her hands. Gripper bars where we needed them. Wide enough hallway for the wheelchair to get through. Just missing automatic door openers on the room, but can't think of anyone who actually has them, either. The staff was helpful and very pleasant. We felt under-dressed walking in, but they still treated us like royalty.

Don't stay at Hyatt Regency ChicagoPosted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: good central location
Cons: staff did not fix the problems in room
TV and refrigerator did not work. Tried unsuccessfully to get them fixed for 4 days. Elevators took forever; it was faster to walk up and downstairs then wait 15 minutes. Be careful of your room view; you might just look at another office building.

Great hotel, close to everything.Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Location, amenities.
Cons: I do wish they had a pool.
Location: Location is great, walking distance to Navy Pier, shopping, just about anything you want to do.
It happened to be my birthday so they upgraded my room and after being out all evening my husband and I came back to the room and there was a bottle of champagne on ice waiting for us. Very nice service.
