Good location but needs updating

Hotel is in a great location, just a block from Mag Mile, however, the hotel has the appearance of being very well used and needs a fresh coat of everything.

Went for a class event and training

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: It was very clean.
Cons: Have some sort of swimming pool or hot tub facility
Location: The location was easy to get to and was nearby plenty of things within walking distance
The amount they charge for valet parking is ridiculous! Also, it should be told to you prior to you giving them your car what it's going to cost you so you can make other arrangements immediately.

Nice hotel convenient location

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: Nice Location
Location: Rent bikes Boat tours Shopping Great restuarants
Besides having a funny name the location on Wacker Street was very convenient....close to Millennium Park, Navy Pier, Magnificent Mile and water tours on the river. We enjoyed our stay in Chicago!

Beautiful hotel and good location

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: The look was very nice.
Cons: Cleansiliness in room,
Location: Took hop on and hop off trolley. Went to zoo. Shopped on magnificent mile.
Valet parking employees extremely nice and very helpful. The hotel was beautiful, but the room was overcrowded with heavy furniture. The floor lamp was not in a location where there was an outlet so was unable to use. When I moved the heavy chair and lamp found the carpet extremely full of dust and dirt. The carpet in the room was clean, but tremendously stained. Stayed to nights, and both mornings called frt desk for towels which never arrived. Had to find the cleaning cart and ask them. Employees at frt desk were friendly, but when asked a couple of questions seemed to be bothered what I would consider put out. Had a very overpriced mediocre tasting meal. However the service in the restaurant was good.

Not worth the money!

Posted Aug 11, 2014
I know that I was paying for convenience when I booked this room. My family and I had never been to downtown Chicago and wanted to splurge on a fancy hotel. But the Comfort Inn that we stayed at the night before in Joliet was cleaner and nicer for a third of the cost. Never doing that again!

Great hotel, great location!

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, clean room, clean hotel, great location.
Location: Millennium Park is only 3 minutes walking distance away, Magnificent mile is 5 minutes by foot, Navy Pier is a 15-18 minute walk, all with a stroller.
I was a bit worried about staying at this hotel, but as it was part of a conference, I went ahead and booked my room. Well, I was PLEASANTLY surprised with the hotel during my entire stay! My husband, 11 month old son, and I stayed 7 days, 6 nights here, and loved it! The service was excellent, with the concierge bringing up random requests (crib, silverware, wine glasses, etc.) very promptly and courteously. Everyone at the hotel was very professional, yet friendly, and we really enjoyed the openness of the lobby and bars. The hotel room was very large (we had a single-king sized bed), and clean, very well laid out with bed facing the window so you could look out right onto the river! Great view from our room, as well! The attendants outside were friendly, efficient, and helpful when hailing cabs, and we never had to wait more than 2 minutes before we were whisked away in a taxi. The elevators must have been fixed, because although we were at a conference with 20,000 people, we never waited more than 3-4 minutes for an elevator to our 23rd floor room. We loved the location and would definitely stay here again! Well worth the money for what you get!

Nice Hotel, Great Location

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Location is great. Walking distance to tons of things to do. Awesome bar and good restaurants. But it's Chicago, go out to eat. No offense, Hyatt.
Cons: The price for parking is a killer. $58 a day, ouch.
Location: Great.
Have stayed here many times and like the place. There are other hipper hotels but this was close and convenient to Lollapalooza and made for a great long weekend. Hotel staff was great, very friendly and out going.
