“Not Impressed at All!”
The hotel was very loud, the room was not all that clean and the TV did not work properly and kept dimming to the point it could barely be seen with the movie that we had rented. This all would have been tolerable if housekeeping had not left my door wide open with my laptop, iPad and purse sitting on the desk. The housekeeper saw me taking my luggage to the car and asked what room I was in, but I told her that I was not leaving yet and would be right back up. When I came back up, my door was propped open to be cleaned but no one was around to attend to it. I had left the privacy card in the door, too. I am lucky that nothing was stolen!
“easy access”
conference at the McCormick Center
“Great Hotel”
Convenient location. Would recommend to other travelers.
“Expensive, mediocre hotel”
I booked this hotel because of its proximity to the conference center. For food, you're stuck with the hotel bar and restaurant (or a sub shop and McDonalds about 10 minutes up a very desolate road). Chicago's a great city - unfortunately I didn't see much of it! Next time I'll get a more central hotel and take a taxi. At this price, I expected a better room, etc. TV didn't work (they did fix it after calling the front desk), no one in the business center, etc...
“too big city for this small town gal”
The hotel was nice, but too overly crowded with business conventions to really enjoy the expensive stay.
“It was a great hotel!”
It was a great hotel. It had a pool and a work out room and an area on the roof to sun yourself. They had restaurants, but we went out so I can't rate them. I'd go back. Also the staff was friendly.
“Strike makes noises, can not rest”
Hotel sucks, very expensive compared to service. Wi-fi is not free. Strike noise during the rest made it impossible to rest. Stayed only because of work is withing 3 min walk to here.
“Nice convention hotel”
Immaculate. Very nice staff. We used the park and surf deal which was great!
“Very Impressed!”
Although this hotel is not close to downtown locations, the #3 bus stops nearby and takes you to downtown Michigan Avenue in 12 minutes. I had a very reasonable unpublished rate through Expedia which helped me to overlook the distance to local attractions. The neighborhood is clean and safe but lacks neighborhood restaurants; however, there is a McDonald's just down the street (about a 5 minute walk). The staff were extremely polite and helpful. We arrived early (11:30 AM). The clerk at the front desk stated that there was an available room and allowed us to check in! This early check-n made our weekend trip much more convenient! Our room was on the 18th (of 20) floors. The room was very clean, contemporary, and elegant, complete with a large flat screen TV. The only downside was that the floor lamp wasn't working, and internet access was an additional charge. Room service is pricey, but the food and service are excellent (I recommend ordering the pizza for a late night snack!) I would consider staying at this hotel in the future!
“a little pricy”
internet and parking prices were ridiculous. Should be included. Overall though, a nice stay.
