Pros: Location, Location, Location and a wonderfully over sized pool.
Cons: The rooms could be updated with a basic mini fridge and microwave, or the pricing changed.
Location: We spent the day at the Renaissance Faire, and it was wonderful to put our feet in the lake, eat dinner on site at the hotel and then swim later.
We paid way too much for a hotel entertaining 5 weddings that night (all appeared to be having a fantastic time), but not even a mini fridge in our room for our dinner left overs :-(, or a microwave for the kids to make popcorn in. I had to put towels in the bathtub to dull the noise of the ongoing drip in the tub. The hotel staff were wonderfully friendly and the grand kids loved the pool and being able to go into Lake Michigan. The hotel's "private beach" has public access and offers no shade, or a garbage can. A hose left out by the entrance of the hotel allowed us to wash the children's feet of sand before we came back in. Memories were made-it was just the price that was way over the top.

It's OK, price is right. It's relatively inexpensive to stay, looks old and run down on the inside.

This is a gorgeous property on Lake Michigan, but for the price of the rooms I was expecting something much nicer & plush! It was clean, but just wore out-especially bathroom. Stayed at a Fairfield Inn the next night for $89, and linens & pillows were awesome, clean & fresh! Just have to say that every employee was above & beyond friendly. Kudos to them!

When we arrived there was no mini fridge in the room it was sitting outside the room in the hallway. Clearly it didn't work. The room was dirty . Beds were uncomfortable.

Beds were firm but comfortable. Water pressure in shower was very bad. No refrigerator or microwave. The resort itself is beautiful, but rooms need convenience updating. Restaurant personell were not very friendly.

It was ok but could been better being a resort should feel like a resort could of came with complementary breakfast being Easter Sunday were charging 32.00 dollars for bunch and kids 5.00 dollars only thing that was great the view maybe will give it one more shot during the summer

We were at the hotel under not so good circumstances due to family member cancer. It was great that it was only 7 minutes from hospital. Staff was very accommodating when I asked if we could have a waterview room for my family member. Restaurant was very good and wait staff very friendly, however food was not at an adequate temperature all three nights we ate there-vegetables, chicken, potato, filet were cold, both from the menu and the seafood buffet. Rooms could be updated with carpet, wallpaper/paint and bathrooms. But I know that the current managers are working on it and are doing a great job with the food and lobby. Thanks so much and we will stay there if we have to come back. Theresa & Billy

Hotel wasn't bad for the Expedia price. I would be disappointed if I had to pay their prices. Plumbing held together with duct tape in the bathroom. Tub was chipping. Pool was nice, hot tub a little smaller then expected.
