Nice basic hotel close to many things

Posted Aug 25, 2014
I stayed there because my daughter goes to Depaul and I was watching SF Giants play the Cubs. Not a glamour hotel but the staff was great. The rooms were nice size, and clean. I was able to to either walk or take the train anywhere I needed to. Restraunts, bars and Wrigley and within walking distance.

Lincoln park visit

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: Location. Great staff. Quaint. Nice complimentary breakfast.
Cons: Need to upgrade air conditioners or add room fans. Humidity was tough.
Location: Perfect location. Close to everything and all transportations. Wrigley field close by.
We had a two night stay and will recommend it as a reasonably priced place to stay.

Fairly priced & friendly

Posted Aug 23, 2014
The hotel is old and could use some updating but if you can overlook some wear and tear it is a nice find for the money. It's close to Wrigley and the train as well as lots of bars and restaurants and the staff is friendly, helpful and makes you feel right at home.

nice hotel the upgrade to the suite was well worth

Posted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: staff was friendly
Cons: tv repair service and breakfast options
Location: Wrigley field was walking distance! Yolk restaurant is a block down and delicious but huge portions.
We stayed 3 nights for our downtown adventure myself and my wife and a close friend, we had ample room in the suite and enjoyed the convenience of the mini kitchen. We had an issue with the Direct TV the first night but it was resolved by the next mid day.

Friendly & helpful staff make up for shortcomings

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: The staff was incredibly nice, very helpful and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay.
Cons: Time to make some updates.
Location: Within walking distance to Boystown, and surrounded by great shops and restaurants.
The location of this hotel was what put it on my radar, but I wasn't thrilled by the online pictures. Fortunately, there have been some updates since those pictures where taken as in new carpeting and bed linens. But the furniture, bathroom fixtures and water pressure all need to be updated to make this hotel an all around better experience.

Stay here each time we come to see the Cubs. Close to Wrigley, shopping, restaurants and Starbucks is NEXT door. Within walking distance to the beach and Lincoln Park Zoo

High Cost - Low Quality Stay

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Put some wall hangings in the rooms. Make the d├ęcor appealing. Have the Wi-Fi work. Breakfast was stale.
Rooms were bare. No pictures. Floor in bedroom not carpeted. Did not look forward to coming back to the room to sleep. Free Wi-Fi did not work.

Chicago Accommodation

Posted Aug 2, 2014
Pros: The price and location.
Cons: Noisy guests.
Location: The location is ideal for Lincoln Park and about a 10min walk to the train station.
I enjoyed the experience friendly staff and helpful with a good continental breakfast. In a good neighbourhood with supermarkets and restaurants just outside.

Pros: Location, size
Cons: Bed mattresses were not the best.
Location: Lake is nearby. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby. The train is a few blocks away. Close to many things.
We had activities in the Lincoln Park/Lakeview area this weekend so decided to stay here. It was great location for the activities we had. We needed 2 beds and the accommodated us, and it also had 2 (small) bathrooms which was an added bonus. The staff was friendly. There was a nice TV. The room was warm, and we had a hard time keeping the temperature where we needed it. It's an older hotel but we liked the quaintness.

Two miles from Wrigley....not as close as indicate

Posted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: Foyer! Quaint, newly painted and welcoming...unlike rest of hotel. Front desk assistants.... Made an effort to help guests
Cons: Major overall!
Location: Two miles from Wrigley
We arrived, dropped off luggage ..no air in halls or room, but turned on air and left for Cub game. Arrived near midnight, pulled back covers to find sheets had not been changed from previous guest! Management took us to another room, but air didnt work propoperly, tried two more rooms before finally found a room that didnt smell musty, and air worked...sort of. (Interestingly they had quoted other guests that they were booked for night!). We were offered the suites update...but it was three flights up with no elevator! Because we booked with Expedia, rate was not adjusted! We are done with both!
