Nice location but the hotel is tired

Posted Apr 21, 2014
Very good location but the hotel belongs in 1972. Furniture is old, bathroom fixtures are old, carpet is old...sensing a trend??

Good location but that's all

Try elsewhere before booking here. Very very old accommodations. Flat pillows, saggy mattress etc.

Very disappointing...overpriced

Posted Mar 17, 2014
I came downtown with a group of friends for St. Patrick's Day weekend so we got 3 rooms... my room was about the size of a small walk-in closet(literally), 1 room had no heat and eventually my friends had to move to another room, and the 3rd room was very nice. Overall, the price was ridiculous for what I got...I understand that it was a holiday weekend but $160 for this room was robbery, PLUS add in the $30 to park my car. The location is great but the rooms are old and worn down and not a good value. Overall a disappointing experience.

You get what you pay for...

Posted Feb 28, 2014
I spent $88 dollars total including parking to stay one night at the Inn at Lincoln Park. The price is what attracted me most and i knew I'd be sacrificing luxuries for a cheap bill. The first floor smelled like musty sweet cream. There were small bugs(harmless) in the bathroom. Cigarette burn on the bed covers and a mattress that sloped in the center(badly). I can't complain because the price was right and it included wifi. However I may increase my budget by $20 to stay at the days inn across the street.

Rude front desk staff

Pros: Nothing
I had called to let them know we were gonna be checking in late. When we got there they said they couldn't check us in that late.

Close to fun venues, good restaurants

Posted Feb 9, 2014
Pros: Location. Vintage appeal
Cons: Sound proof the rooms better!
Location: Great restaurants - close to the lake
I enjoyed our stay here but only wish that the rooms had better sound proofing. It was disconcerting to hear the folks in the next room so easily - and I'm sure they wished they couldn't hear us!

Staff OK, but Room Iffy

Posted Jan 7, 2014
Pros: The staff was friendly and parking was available in the Lot, but a little expensive. We paid for it because of the snow. Location great!
Cons: Control heat, paint rooms, new beds.
Location: Great location, easy to get cab.
The room was very small, the bed was old and tough to sleep on. But the heat in the room was so bad, we had to open the window (20 F outside).

Convenient New Year's Eve hotel stay

Posted Jan 2, 2014
Pros: I liked the area the hotel was located in.
Cons: The rooms are outdated but still comfortable and clean.
Location: The hotel is close to a lot of different shopping centers, including a movie theatre and plenty of bars. It's a short el ride to the DePaul area too.
We booked this hotel at the last second for New Year's Eve and were able to get a room, no problem, for a reasonable rate. It was clean, located in a great area of Lincoln Park, and accessible from the CTA.
