Everything as expected. Clean room, I wish the beds were larger. But the spot was awesome.

Nice place for an overnight!

Posted Jan 24, 2015
Pros: Convenience
Cons: Curtains above the heat/AC unit make it difficult to get the right temperature - a change to blinds or shorter curtains would help.
Location: Very close to Michigan Avenue; still convenient to the Loop.
I stayed in the Inn overnight when I had a late night and early morning downtown. Checkin was smooth. The room was great, except that temperature control was inexplicably difficult. It seemed like it was working, but it was tough to reach a happy medium temp. But otherwise, the room was great!

Good solid value

Posted Jan 22, 2015
Cons: Heater only had an on/off switch, and it would turn off and on every 5 minutes. Chicago peeps seem to overheat inside when its freezing outside.
Location: walk to the shoreline and look at the postcard view of the hancock building from the shore
Was able to take the orange line from midway and taxi the rest of the way since the red line had issues. Great location, close to everything so you can walk to shopping, restaurants, the lake, public transportation and stuff. They only give you 30 min of free internet in the lobby, it's extra if you want to work in your room. Which is probably a good thing.

Inn

It was ok not what I expected. Was not as luxurious as it was said to be hard to find and high price parking

The Inn of Chicago is an affordable option for budget-minded travelers, centrally located right off the Magnificent Mile. We are not a luxurious hotel, rather a historic hotel with comfortable and chic decor. Parking is not cheap in Chicago, and apologize if the price caused any inconvenience during your stay.

Needed a room for the night. My daughter and I went to the Blackhawks Game in January and this was just what we needed. Basic, and cheap! All in all had a great experience!!!! Staff was great.

First trip to Chicago!

Posted Jan 20, 2015
The walls are very thin, people were party in the room next to me and had to call security to get them to knock it off. Security finally came after about 30 mins. There is no continental breakfast. The bathroom in the room is very small. It was close to where I needed to be so that a positive. My friends stayed across the street at the Red Roof Inn, equal quality room and bathroom condition, but better amenities and cheaper. I will be staying there from now on.

Small and noises all night long

Cons: Thicker room walls
Location: Close yo Michigan Ave.
Dark and dank. Small hallways and rooms. Could hear through the walls, no use all night long.

Perfect and convenient location Downtown

Posted Jan 18, 2015
Pros: The heating. The location.
Cons: The water pressure in the shower could be improved.
Location: Everything Chicago has to offer. We did see a celebrity at the local AMC/Lucky Strike Complex.
A very simple stay for a great price. Not too far from anything. The hotel room was not very big, but it was a nice place to sleep.

Heart of Chicago, Plan for Amenities

Posted Jan 16, 2015
Pros: Location! Can't beat the view. Big budget feeling for a small price tag given deal.
Cons: Parking situation! I did not expect to have to pay $46 per day to park next door. Would have reconsidered had I known that. Also, no free internet.
Location: In the heart of downtown Chicago, walking access to all you'd want to see/visit (Miracle Mile, Navy Pier, the parks. Room was in good condition consi
Overall, hotel was a great experience. In the heart of downtown Chicago, walking access to all you'd want to see/visit (Miracle Mile, Navy Pier, the parks. Room was in good condition considering age of building. Not quite the luxury you'd get elsewhere, but good for the price and location.
