First night we were placed in a room that did not meet our expectations. We were under the impression of the pictures that were posted online. Although, the staff was very friendly and let us change to the more updates rooms. We were charged $2 to use the phone to order room service and room service was through a third party service. Overall I would not recommend this hotel to my friends, there are many other hotels in the area with more convenient accommodations.

Not a Great Place to Stay

Pros: The staff were friendly and it is well situated.
Cons: Needs a significant upgrade.
Location: Good central location.
Other than a nice foyer/lobby area this hotel doesn't have much going for it. Room was unclean, the carpets looked dirty, wallpaper ripped on the walls. This place looks like it is barely held together... considering what they charge it is simply not worth the money. Stay somewhere else.

Cons: More outlets to plug in phones...bathroom outlet only worked if light was on & we didn't realize it until day 2.
Location: Location is great! Good shopping right up the street!
Average hotel...not the best but not the worst. Really liked the location...close to good stores to shop at :) We couldn't check in when we got there as we were early & they held our luggage, no problems! Check in was super easy. Wi fi was not free however we didn't need it so it didn't bother us at all.

Not worth the money

This place is a bit of a dump. Very basic amenities, old and dusty room and in need Of some serious maintenance. Nothing in my room hung straight on the wall, a broken window, kind of smelly. Considering the price I paid for this I would have booked the Westin for an extra $60 a night. Not at all value for money.

Rooms can be cleaner. We requested a crib that never came. We left the luggage in the luggage room and when we wanted them back we had to wait for 30 minutes for the guy to come back, nobody else from the staff could help us. No soap replacement from one day to the next. Coffe make quite dirty. You get what you pay for.

Small rooms, but meets your needs

Cons: Appeared to need updates in elevators, carpeting, lighting, etc. Very poor sound proofing.
Location: Everything you could ask for in walking distance! Great location!
Very worth the cost given the location. Very close to the Magnificent Mile. Great because we weren't spending much time in it. Small rooms, but reasonable use of the space available.

We are happy that you found everything within walking distance of our hotel. Our rooms are more intimate in size compared to other traditional hotels nearby, since we are categorized as a historic boutique landmark in Chicago.

Lobby is better than room

Stayed in 1204, will only stay here if my wife kicks me out again lol, this felt like the epitome of a dog house. The room was very small, but the bed was ok. The hallway was dingy but the bed was good
