The Ivy is close to everything yet on a quiet street. The property is very modern, love the flat (large) on the wall angles to the bed. Bathroom had his and her sinks separate bath tub and shower which I like. The rooftop bar was great. The only negative comment is that room safes that you can pick up and walk away with defeat the purpose of a safe. Everything else was excellent room furnishings stfaf etc

One of My All Time FavoritesPosted Sep 19, 2014
Pros: The rooms are very spacious and trendy!
Cons: No improvements needed!
Location: Navy Pier, boat tours, shopping, restaurants, bike rentals, Segway rentals.
This place is top quality, the staff are very friendly and the hotel is pretty close to the Navy Pier. Price is reasonable for the location. Next time in Chicago we will be staying there !

Too much for too little..Posted Sep 18, 2014
will keep this brief: When I called the hotel regarding my reservation the secretary was rushing me off the phone and I didn't even finish what i had to say she quickly said bye lol. Called the next day to finish what i wanted to inquire about regarding the reservation and told the other lady about it, didn't seem to care, didn't apologize either. The tv didn't work how nice when your trying to have breakfast. Bagels cost about 10 bucks…a breakfast for 2 about 70 bucks :/ If you order orange juice from the hotel you better have your tums. Not worth 550 or 600 bucks per night. for that much a hotel should have more to offer, other hotels are cheaper than this and i know i could've found better for my money or saved some money. I doubt i will be coming back to this hotel the next time I'm in chicago

Nice boutique hotel in the heart of ChicagoPosted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: Rooms had a modern but relaxing feel. Bed was very comfortable. Roof top lounge was great. Staff was friendly.
Cons: Price was high and the aforementioned security issue.
Location: Right in the heart of Chicago. Two blocks off of Michigan Avenue just north of the river. Dining and entertainment opportunities abound!
Excellent stay but very expensive. A large trade show was in town and almost all the hotels were double their normal cost. Room was large, clean, neat, and inviting. The roof top lounge was enjoyable and the bar tenders were informative about local dining choices. Oddly, when returning from dinner, we returned to a wide open room. The door was standing wide open. Rather than enter and walk in on a crime in process or worse, we opted to go back to the front desk and ask the hotel security to accompany us back to the room. They definitely did not know how to handle this. All was well and nothing missing, but when we inquired the next morning about the security tape to see if they had solved the "open room mystery" they said strangely that three rooms were reported open and offered no explanation. all in all the stay was very nice but with one odd incident.

I have an excellent experience in this hotel, the room was very comfortable, clean, nice, modern and have all facilities you could possibly need. Close to main street where you could find all transportation facilities, stores, restaurants, etc.

Wonderful experience!Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: apperance, comfort level, great bathroom, awesome rooftop bar.
We booked a room for my friend's bachelorette party and we were all so impressed by the hotel! The room was amazing - the tv in the mirror got a lot of ohhs and ahhs. :) It was so comforatable, clean and spacious. The waterfall head in the shower was to die for too! The staff was extremely friendly. The rooftop bar was super cool as well! I look forward to stay at this hotel again in the future!

Nice stay, great room.Posted Aug 9, 2014
Great room, upgraded to King Suite. View not great but who cares? No in room movies a bit surprising. But otherwise excellent. Front staff not terribly knowledgeable for tourists...don't count on concierge. Would stay again for sure.
