Overpriced but good.

Comfortable, well appointed room. The service and amenities are all excellent. I had to plan this trip at the last minute, however, and I had little choice in hotels. JW certainly took advantage of that. The charges were over the top for what is nothing more than a really good business hotel. $60 to valet park. When you have already paid $785 for a room, it feels like extortion to be told that the wifi is another $15. There are definitely as good hotels available for much less.

Beautiful, convenient hotel

Posted Sep 10, 2014
This hotel was beyond beautiful and elegant. It was within walking distance to pretty much all the major landmarks like Willis Tower, Navy Pier and most important to us, Soldier Field. It was so much easier walking to the first Bears football game of the season than to drive and park. The valet service was so nice and not too pricey. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a downtown Chicago experience.

Nicest people in Chicago

Posted Aug 16, 2014
My friends and I stayed at this hotel while in town for the Katy Perry concert. The rooms were beautiful , the staff was amazing and they even moved us to a larger room with a soda sleeper for the same price to accommodate one of my friends that had a broken arm! I would absolutely stay here again!!

Just a really nice and beautiful hotel. Great location, not far from everything we wanted to go by. Clean and rich taste. So would stay here again. I already told friends about it.

Good Location

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Location and room size.
Cons: Customer setvice and pricing.
Location: In the middle of the central business/finance district.
Nice location in the heart if the Loop; rooms were spacious; however, this hotel is extremely over-priced. The fact that you have to pay to access the internet from your room, on top of paying $400 for the night, is nonsense. The pool is extremely small and was not well kept (lack of towels and dirty floors) - should get more for the $$$ and the JW brand.

Great place in Chicago Loop

Great hotel, nice location. Was not able to get two double beds as requested. Chicago area was full all weekend including the JW Marriott. The manager gave me larger room and roll away and took $50 off room price. Very responsive and friendly staff.

Shocked!!

Posted Jul 25, 2014
Friday night...technically Saturday morning at around 3:45 July 19 2014 myself and friends we're locked out of our room. We went down to the front desk to get more keys, after at least a 15 min wait we received two sets of keys... Theses keys didnt work either. Then someone from the hotel come up and tired.....like oh theses dumb kids! No luck! Then they had to call the engineer to come up and unlock our door to let us in and switch the battery out of the door while in our hotel room now appropriating 500am....the shift manager didn't feel like he should comp us anything for us being locked out of our room..."theses things happen" really?! Because I've stayed in a lot of hotels and this has NEVER happened!! I know if this happened to an older couple they would have got a free night...but Because we are young phish kids we received nothing!! I spent close to 1,000.00 dollars at your establishment and to get treated like that was beyond disrespectful! I will never stay at a JW Marriott again...worest customer service ever!!!
