Good hotel at reasonable price. We Had a good stay there on a weekend. It is Close to the airport but far from the city. there are many restaurants nearby on walking distance. Staff is friendly and amenities are reasonable according to the price.

not returning.

Posted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: The actual room was clean and comfortable. It 's the rest of the hotel that needs cleaning and maintenance.
Cons: Lobby, check in service, smells, parking lot.
Location: convenient to I -90.
we needed a convenient place for a quick weekend to care for elderly dad. Didn't want to spend a lot of money . Got what we paid for--not a lot. We checked in late at night ( around 12:30 am.)--it was very busy at that time of night . Besides us, there were three other parties checking in. There were 2 people behind desk but only the female employee could speak English to address any questions. Other person just stood there. Parking lot was full---two semi's took up alot of space. we ended up parking at edge of lot where there was no working parking lot lights. Not a safe feeling. Next morning as we ate breakfast in the lobby area, we saw bugs (possibly roaches) crawling across lobby floor.

Its ok for a night or two

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Cons: my room (221) had a bad smell but this could be from the a/c
Location: nothing near by except a MD, Hibashi Grill House
Nothing special about this place and certainly an establishment like many others in that price range. Rooms were OK, breakfast was sufficient. Place was packed with people, mostly tourists. Had a room on the 2nd Floor which was OK. It is OK to stay there if you are passing trough. no worries.

DeceptionS

Posted Jul 22, 2015
Cons: ? ALL !!!
A EVITER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nice hotel, nice neighborhood, white castle!

Posted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: see the above comments; it was/is a nice location. prices were great compared with other similar hotels. clean, quiet and in a nice suburban area.
Cons: nothing comes to mind, as it was an overall great experience. nice hotel, we will likely stay there again next summer.
Location: out in the suburbs but close to nearly everything. chicago traffic is not so hot, but boy oh boy the awesome deep dish pizza!!
after a 19-hour road trip from denver, it was a welcome sight to see the hotel! the hotel is situated in a nice area. a little road construction nearby, but not a problem at all. there was a white castle location next door (walking distance of about a minute), which was fun, as we don't have them back home. the staff were friendly & professional. check-in as well as check-out went quickly and smoothly. the room was nice, exactly as seen in the photos. maid service was good, as when we returned each night to a ready room. the swimming pool area was nice, towels provided. the breakfast service was perfect, a quick way to start the day before we went on our adventures. we are already thinking about next year & will gladly consider staying here again. it was my first godzilla convention (!!) and this hotel was a great home-away-from-home while we we in chicago. (the convention was located elsewhere, not at the la quinta.) it was nice to return here at the end of each day.

Good layover if stranded at O'Hare

Posted Jul 15, 2015
Pros: Shuttle from / to O'Hare, very clean, friendly, fast-food restaurants next door
Cons: When a front-desk clerk has a phone argument with a Customer...move it to the back office ! That ugly conversation was the only downer at this hotel
Location: Close to O'Hare. Airport shuttle that starts at 4:00am and runs until midnight. Fast food restaurants across the parking lot
An airline left me stranded at O'Hare (don't get me started !) and I had to find a hotel late in the evening and still be ready for an early morning departure. LaQuinta's shuttle picked me up at the Bus/Shuttle station, took about 20 minutes to get to the hotel which is typical for hotels around O'Hare. The hotel was immaculate and friendly. Caught the shuttle back to O'Hare early in the morning. Caught my flight (late !) and got home.

$100 DEPOSIT !!!! OMG DON'T USE YOUR DEBIT CARD

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: It was quaint
Cons: New AMERICAN management
Location: The Woodfield Mall,AMC theaters & The Comedy Improv are all within 4miles of the hotel
My experience was marred by poor customer service and common sense from the foreign manager,my card was charged and she flat out refused to undo HER mistake,I was paying CASH for my stay & deposit,my card was just to HOLD the reservation, even after quickly charging me & still suggested the CHARGE to my card count as a portion of my payment & that way I could just receive a CASH return on my deposit,so that my money just doesn't hang in limbo for 10-14days & we could BOTH be satisfied yada yada yada long story short next time I will be sure to book with AMERICAN proprietors if you get my drift, the ordeal soured my trip & from what I was noticing a few other guests upon arrival

Don't waste your time

Posted Jul 6, 2015
Pros: Absolutely nothing
Cons: Everything
Ice machine was broken on 3rd floor, sheets were not changed on the bed. Hallway smelled like mildew. Don't believe the pictures. Staff is extremely rude. Please choose another hotel.
