Good hotel, convenient position, sensible tarrif.

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: Excellent staff, convenience, sensible price for the location. Tidy, clean and not over pretentious.
Cons: It is a bit dated inside but not bad by any means, so decor could be a bit better, . Landing insulation to cut noise from other guests on landings.
Location: Great central spot, lots of Bars, restaurants, great shops, the buses and trains very handy. Hancock tower, Beach, etc etc!
We were pleasantly surprised at just how convenient the hotel was in terms position and access ability for everything in the city centre and Mag Mile shops, restaurants and bars etc. and the beach! the staff are incredibly helpful, friendly and polite, nothing was too much trouble. Roof top bar is fun albeit frequented by the young and trendy Thurs, Friday and Saturday. The hotel is clean and tidy. A bit noisy on the landings with chatter from other guests who could have been a bit more considerate for those resting in a bit later but it didn't spoil things for us.

Great vibrant city centre hotel

Posted Aug 10, 2014
We have just returned from 7 nights at MileNorth - family of 3 staying in a king size suite with city view. Very spacious and everything one would need including fridge and ice machine on floor! Front if house staff very pleasant at all times-welcoming us back from a day out in town, offering advise for restaurants etc etc. nice relaxed feel to lobby - very functional lobby with access to Mac computers; newspapers and pleasant bar; coffees and good food and terrace. This hotel is within easy walking distance to both city and shore - walk two blocks west superior street for great breakfast at Sunny Side Up on terrace. Would not hesitate recommending.

Excellent location!

My sister and I and our daughters enjoyed a girls' getaway in Chicago. Mile North proved to be the ideal hotel for us not only for its facilities but also for its location. We were able to walk to Millennium Park, the Oriental theatre, the Chicago Lady Architectural boat tour, shops, restaurants, and a host of other locations. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

Perfection - Best Place to Stay

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Service was great Cleanliness price was great for the area and central location
Cons: Parking is extremely expensive. $58 US per day HOWEVER: There is a parking lot entrance one street north of the hotel. $150 for 4 days
Location: (Subway, Restaurants, Downtown, Shopping, Lake, Beaches, Navy Pier, Bike Rentals, Museums, Parks, Architecture Tour, Grant/Millenium park,
This hotel was the best place to stay at to stay in Chicago for the Long weekend (4 nights) Close to everything. I mean Everything (Subway, Restaurants, Downtown, Shopping, Lake, Beaches, Navy Pier, Bike Rentals, Museums, Parks) You are extremely centralized which allows you to access all points of the city in a reasonable amount of walking. - Everyone was very helpful at the hotel and nice. Has a starbucks downstairs for morning coffee and has a rooftop bar upstairs for late night drinks. - The parking is very expensive at the hotel $58US per day, however there is a parking lot 1 block north of the hotel that does a package rate for however many night you would like. The parking lot is actually attached to the hotel and under the Gino's East pizza.

Chicago Close-Up

Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: The king suite was great. Very spacious and accommodating.
Cons: There are only two at the front desk and it can get busy.
Location: Great location off of Michigan Ave. Quiet yet close.
Walking distance to The Loop, Navy Pier, and all things River North. The red line subway only four blocks away.
