Felt Mile high in the mile north!Posted Apr 17, 2014
Pros: Almost everything!
Cons: Room temperature.
Location: Near to main shopping area of magnificent mile, john Hancock centre, navy pier and the drake hotel. Walking distance to just about everything else
Top notch hotel. Brilliant location with everything close by. Room was fab, like a suite. One of the nicest I ever had. Only quibble is that windows don't open and the heat even with air con is quite stuffy. I would definitely stay here again.

Pros: Nice room, great price, great bathroom and shower, like how they had full containers of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel for guests
Cons: thermostat hard to figure out, so it was pretty warm in our room
Location: so close to everything, walked everywhere
really enjoyed our stay, the room was clean, really comfy beds, Starbucks in the lobby, quick check in/out, walking distance to everything we wanted to do

Nice hotel, staff a bit distantPosted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: Room was nice, fairly easy to access from the freeway
Cons: Front desk staff could have been more welcoming and attentive
Location: Near lots of Chicago attractions - Millennium Park (with "the bean"), Navy Pier, Mag Mile
We stayed 2 nights at this hotel. It was comfortable and clean and had everything we wanted. It was within walking distance of the Magnificent Mile, Millennium Park, and other Chicago attractions, like the Navy Pier. The front desk attendant was not the most helpful person; she was engaged in conversation with someone else both times we approached her and didn't seem to focus on us individually, but we found out what we needed to know from someone else. Overall it is a great place to stay if you want to walk around the Loop and see the sights.

Perfect location for this hotel!Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Valet and front office staff members were very friendly and accomodating.
Location: Location was perfect. We were able to walk to the nearby shops and restaurants which were only a couple of blocks away. The area felt very safe.
The staff was very friendly and accomodating our entire stay. The room had modern decor and the bathroom was very spacious. Comfortable beds and we were so glad that there was a grill downstairs so that we didn't have to walk out in the cold to grab a cup of coffee or snacks.

Very close to all the actionPosted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Spacious rooms/bathroom Friendly staff Starbucks in the lobby Location
Location: 1/2 block from Michigan avenue Easy walking distance to hundreds of attractions, Navy Pier, Chicago River, Lake Michigan
My experience at Mile North hotel was excellent. The lobby has a very nice seating area along with a Starbucks and a bar for you to enjoy. There is an additional bar on the upper floors for those looking to grab a drink after 10. All staff were polite, welcoming, and accommodating. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was huge with a very nice walk in shower and excellent water pressure (which you often do not find at hotels!) The hotel was very quiet on the floor I stayed on despite the fact that there was a youth cheerleading competition in town and some parents chose to let their kids run up and down the halls at night. The hotel itself sits about 1/2 block off of Michigan Avenue which is home to the Magnificent Mile consisting of hundreds of shops and restaurants so the location is awesome. There is also a Geno's pizza right next door where you can get some famous Chicago deep dish pizza The hotel is also a 5-10 walk from one of the main train stations which makes it convenient to get around the city. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Mile North hotel very much and would definitely stay there again if I go to Chicago

Excellent positionPosted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: Its proximity to sightseeing, shopping and restaurants downtown.
Cons: The bar prices!
Location: Excellent for Mag Mile, Architectural River Cruise, Sears Tower, Hancock Building, Shedd Aquarium, Navy Pier, Art Institute, Museum, The Lake and Bean
This was my fourth stay at the Mile North, the staff are friendly and efficient, the hotel is compact but the rooms and suites are spacious, modern and clean. I stayed for three nights and sampled a bit of what downtown has to offer. The reception can get quite busy and noisy as it is one side and the bar/cafe area is the other.

Great Location!Posted Apr 11, 2014
The location of this hotel is perfect for anyone visitng Chicago. Everything on Michigan Avenue is within walking distance whether your shopping or enjoying all of the restaurants (Gino's East Pizzaria is next door). The hotel has a modern decor & the rooms are comfortable & clean. Free wi-fi was a plus & the staff pleasant. The breakfast buffet was ok & the Starbucks in the lobby is an added bonus. Would stay at this hotel again.
