“Good location, great value for money”
Thisis a really nice place. Easy to get to from O'Hare by CTA.Buy a pass at the airport (you'll need exact notes ).The local station Belmont is undergoing renovation so the stairs are a bit of a struggle with a heavy case.Booking into the hotel can be a little challenging if you're from overseas: you have to telephone for accessa fter 11am. However the bar 2 doors down have the keys.Public transport by 'subway' or the train is good.Breakfast is good.
“Great place to stay”
I was very satisfied with the Old Chicago Inn. We were comfortable, relaxed and felt right at home. I will definitely stay here in the future.
“Can't wait to go back”
My husband and I decided to go to the Cubs Game and through research of reviews of Chicago Inn, it was my choice. The hotel had excellent customer service, we felt very much at home, and the location was awesome. The room we stayed in however was very very small. But you can't beat the price on this hotel. The best part was there was a restaurant and a bar just 2 doors down. We decided to make this an annual year trip!
“Great B&B in prime location!”
Great little B&B in prime Lakeview location. Perfect place to stay if you're planning to see a Cubs game. Nothing fancy, but the staff and owners are really nice and it was the perfect place for us for the St. Patty's Day festivities.
“Great!”
The hotel is small and quaint, but the hotel owners are very helpful. The hotel was clean and has a homey feel. It is in a great location near the El and Wrigley Field...perfect for a Cubs game. I recommend it.
“Great deal”
Great stay. It is a very convent place to stay. Blocks away from Wrigleyfield and a block away from subway that goes to downtown and the airport.
“Wrigleyville Inn Adventure”
Great location with proximity to some interesting neighborhoods, including Wrigley Field. The inn overall was in fairly good condition - but the bathrooms (which were shared for our stay - (2) baths for (3) guest rooms) were a bit tired. They were always clean, but both could have used considerable maintenance performed, ie. tiles falling off. Great staff - innkeeper was very accommodating & even managed to find safe hiding for our (2) bicycles. Light breakfast including very tasty. Property is definitely worth a try!
“Get it cuz it's cheap”
Don't expect much from this inn/hotel, it is truly a budget inn. The room basically only had space for the comfortable queen size bed and a small dresser, and you share a bathroom with the rest of the floor. The free breakfast is certainly nice and so was the host. Just drop your bags off here and go explore Chicago, come back to sleep. At night the place isn't exactly attended by anyone, but only the people staying there have the key to get in. Another bonus is that since the next-door karoake-bar runs the inn, they give each person a $10 coupon for the bar. The inn is conveniently near a subway station (Red/Brown line), bus line (which can take you to the Blue line that goes to O'Hare Int'l Airport), restaurants & bars, and convenient stores.
“Very Nice Hotel”
The old Chicago Inn was a nice and quiet little Bed and Breafast in the middle of Chicago. I went as a single guy for my college 10yr reunion and homecoming but I can see how it would be a great place for a couple to go to and stay while visiting Chicago. It is right next to public transportation that will take you anywhere in the city and within walking distance of Lake Michigan. Just anoverall nice place to stay at.
“Great Place to Stay”
The Old Chicago Inn is a wonderful place to stay when you're just in town for a few days. It's near transportation--the Belmont El Station is right around the corner, so you can travel by one of the world's most efficient transit systems to anywhere in the City! The staff are kind, and there's a bar/restaurant a few doors away.
