A well located property that offers great design.Posted Nov 14, 2014
Well thought out amenities, sophisticated design and great location provide an oasis of calm when visiting this energy charged city. The restaurant s breakfast is passable. though I never ate dinner there, it is said to be good. There is a fitness room and a lovely glass enclosed pool for healthful endeavors. Meeting interesting guests at the hotels free daily 5pm free wine reception is a treat!

Gorgeous, comfortable, convenient, friendly hotelPosted Nov 11, 2014
Pros: Style, comfort, modernity, cleanliness, friendliness, and location, location, location.
Cons: Get the doormen always to open the door for guests laden with heavy bags!
Location: Great shopping is just a few blocks away on Michigan Ave., and lots of great restaurants and bars are literally across or down the street.
I was in town for a four-day conference a few blocks away...and what can I say? I made the right decision in staying at the Palomar and not at the conference venue. The nice staff are as superb as the facilities, from the excellent restaurant on the ground floor to the panoramic indoor pool on the 17th floor. My room was extremely comfortable, spacious, and well-appointed...a true home away from home and on-the-road office, all with spectacular views and a comfy bed. Quiet and clean with fast WiFi (free if you sign up for the Kimpton guest program). Great value for the money!

Great LocationPosted Nov 10, 2014
Pros: Location and well maintained.
Location: Within easy commute or walking distance of several great restaurants, theaters, and other entertainment.
Stayed recently while visiting my son at DePaul. 15 minutes from campus by subway and the red line entrance is a block away. Very convenient to the best of downtown.

Location location location.Posted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: Liked location - short walk from shops, sights, river cruises, plenty of places to eat. Tea and coffee available in the morning just off the lobby...
Cons: Information about services available was hard to find (on television) - housekeeping wasn't great..left random items lying about; no atmosphere.
Location: All that Chicago has to offer is close by. Try Portillo's for hotdogs!
Long weekend combining business and pleasure. Chose Palomar as reasonable room rate for central location. Really just used hotel as a place to sleep as we were out sightseeing all day, and ate out for breakfast and dinner.

Great location and great staffPosted Oct 26, 2014
Pros: The gym, the staff, location!
Cons: The elevators can get full and take a long time to come down.
Location: Great location! Near Eataly, the Loews Movie Theatre, shopping at Mag mile, Nodstroms, lots of great food.
The staff, from the bellman to front desk, are very nice. They offer water at the front and coffee in the AM and wine in the PM. The rooms are spacious and the outside terrace and gym were great.

Great location, helpful staff and wine hour!Posted Oct 22, 2014
Pros: Location and staff
Location: Everything is walkable
The location is brilliant. The staff helped with directions, booking tours, on-line check in, and booking a limo back to airport. No question was too much trouble, and they remembered to ask how successful their reccommendations had been. Wine hour was a bonus, and a lovely touch that was appreciated after a hard day's sightseeing/shopping. Our room was on the 14th floor, spotless, a reasonable size, and complete with animal print bath robes. The only 2 things that coule be improved would be to provide shower gel instead of solid soap, and better glazing to reduce street noise. I would book this again.
