Close to Naval base for naval graduationPosted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: I liked the fact it was so close to the Navy Base and the it has a refrigerator and a microwave. The lady that checked me in was friendly.
Cons: needs updating, new furnishing and tv, has water damage and smells of mildew
Location: Location was good, the cafe on the corner next to it was great, and there is a white castle directly across the street. It's not to far from the Navy
I stayed at this hotel because my son was graduating Navy boot camp and it was only about 10 minutes away. Due to late flight I showed up pretty late and my room was still available and the lady behind the desk was friendly. The room itself smelled like mildew and hasn't been updated in years. The bathroom was tiny but it does have a refrigerator and a microwave so that's a plus. I mentioned to my son who was graduating boot camp that if he got the weekend off of base I would get him his own room at the hotel and even after being at boot camp he said even if he was able to he wouldn't stay there, also he was all excited about showering in a private shower but after looking at it he decided to pass on the shower. It's a you get what you pay for type of thing. I highly recommend the restaurant on the corner right next to it, the service and food are great.

It close to the Naval AcademyPosted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: The staff was very helpful and courteous which made up for any of the inconvenience.
Cons: The whole place on the inside need to be remodel. It looks great outside, but the look is deceiving
Location: As I say before the only advantage was that it was close to the academy. Also, nearby stores and restaurants.
I had a hard time getting to the hotel from the airport because they didn't have shuttle services; however, they found someone to pick me up.It took this person more than an hour to pick me up from the airport and when he got the pick up side, he parked ac cross the street and I had to walk in the rain to get to him. He didn't even get out of the car to extend any help with the suitcases. The hotel smell like they've place roach power in the room. The continental breakfast wasn't what i expected.

Comfort is good enough. Staff is excellent.Posted Sep 29, 2014
Cons: beds are hard
Location: 10 minute drive to the naval base
The room is ok, but worth the money. I was very pleased with the service that I received from the front desk. I would recommend this hotel due to the services rendered without the hassle. The hotel is about a 10 minute drive to the naval base. Gojo's Café, which is adjacent to the hotel's parking lot is a good place to eat. Food is good and prices are reasonable.

Not too fancy but convenient.Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: Very close to the Navy Training Center
Cons: Wifi could have a better range, rooms need a little updating, need more cable channels.
Location: Location was perfect to the Navy Station and Lake Michigan. Not too far to Chicago either. All in all I would stay again because of convenience.
Hotel staff was excellent, rooms a little small and worn, food ok. We were visiting our son at the Naval Training Station so didn't spend all day there any way.

DirtyPosted Aug 4, 2014
All hallways reek of cigarette smoke. Our room, even though it said non-smoking, smelled like stale smoke. Our comforter had burn holes in it. In the nicest way I can say it, there were at least two women we saw, that were not at the hotel to sleep for the night. Staff was pleasant.

I unfortunately was stuck with a smoking room and the entire hallway looked run down and smelled horrible. The room looked as though someone rubbed their cigerretes all over the walls, they were completely filthy. The room just gave a terrible feeling. I suggest spending the extra money and staying somewhere nicer.

Never againPosted Jul 31, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel manager was rude. The room was so so as far as clean. No drain plug in sink or tub. Carpet was old and stained. The flip over safety door stop was ripped out of the door and you could tell the door had been kicked in. I felt pretty safe after seeing that lol

Quality motel close to excellent restaurantPosted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: It is a comfortable motel at moderate price
Cons: There is no elevator that I saw to the 2nd floor. If climbing a few stairs in an inconvenience, perhaps request a 1st floor room.
Location: The location is a good one. Gojo's is located next to the motel. There are gas stations nearby. 6 Flags and Gurnee mall are just a short drive.
We stayed at this motel while on a weekend vacation to 6 flags. The price is good and the motel is a comfortable one. The refrigerator and microwave are added pluses for those on a budget. Next door to the motel is Gojo's Café which is one of the best restaurants I've ever had privilege to eat at....generous portions, fair prices, friendly service, tasty food. The motel is just a short drive to 6 flags whch makes its moderate cost even more appealing for anyone in the area for that reason.

Barely AdequatePosted Jul 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
Had 2 rooms reserved. 1 of the rooms OK. The other room has no working AC and no toilet paper in bathroom. Moved to another room where the toilet backed up also the linens were not clean. Moved to another room that was adequate. NO INTERNET ACCESS available on third day of stay. I will not stay in a Quality Inn again.
