Great location, nice price, but that's it.

For all the attractions listed in Citypass Chicago, Raffaello is a wonderful location. Hancock (360 Chicago) and old water tower are just beside the hotel; the cloud gate, art institute and navy pier are within walking distance (or 10 minutes bus). There are many one-stop buses available to go to the museum campus (Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, and Adler Planetarium), and the Museum of Science and Industry. This convenience really saved me a lot of time and energy, so I can visit more places within my 3-day tour. Also, their price is pretty nice. Especially, if you get somewhat discount. But their wifi is unstable, facilities are old, elevators are slow, and I got a lot of noises in late night (from construction site near the hotel, and they work as late as 2am).

Great location, beautiful rooms

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Location: Located right behind the Hancock building and close to everything the Mag Mile has to offer - awesome!
The Raffaello is a beautiful classic hotel with excellent and hospitable staff. Our room seemed very new, very clean, and was very comfortable - we loved it! The one and only drawback to this hotel is that it has only 2 somewhat slow elevators, so you have to wait a few minutes each way. The rooftop bar/restaurant is very popular so this can congest the elevator situation even more.

Nice hotel close to The Magnificent Mile.

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: Large room. Decent size bathroom. Nice big TV. Decent sized workout room.
We showed up 3 hours before check. Most of the times we have been to Chicago the motel would let us check in early with no extra charge. Able to check in 30 minutes early. Staff very friendly and helpful. Elevators kind of small and some of the halls narrow. Just one block off the Magnificent Mile

Checked in early!

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: It was clean, quiet and comfortable
Cons: Nothing really.
Location: We were near the hop on/hop off bus stop which was very convenient as it allowed us to see a lot of the city without having to walk too far.
We arrived at the Hotel way before check in time and were tired and wanting a shower and bed after travelling overnight. We only had to wait for an hour before a room was ready.Very grateful!

Great for an overnight or weekend stay.

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Clean, cheap, location can't be beat
Cons: Don't close the only bar/restaurant in the place early!!!
Location: Everything is nearby. You can walk to navy pier or rent a bike for $7 right up the street to get anywhere you want in the city.
Location next to the Hancock Building on the Mag Mile cannot be beat. Check in isn't until 4pm but our room was available around 2:30pm. Room was nice, clean, roomy enough. Bathroom is small and there is no shower door which could be problematic if I was there more than one night. Check out is at noon, so plenty of time in the AM and they stored our luggage at no cost for the entire day. Little cafe in the lobby is yummy. Whiskey bar on the 18th floor has an awesome patio with comfy couches. Wish I could've enjoyed it more. We went up there at 9pm on a Sunday night (the staff in the lobby said they close at 10pm on Sundays...which is already quite early for Chicago). Immediately upon entering, we were told they already had last call and 5 minutes later they told us they'd be closing for the night in 10 minutes...which put it at maybe 9:30pm when they kicked us out. Very rude and obviously closing before they were suppose to. The place wasn't empty, people drinking and enjoying themselves all over and they STILL kicked all of us out at "close". I was not impressed by this at all, which is fine-- we took our business elsewhere. Overall, fine for a quick weekend stay, but if you want great service, don't count on it.

Thank you for your feedback on your stay at the Raffaello hotel. We are happy to hear you enjoyed Glazed and Infused as well as Drumbar. However, we are sorry to hear that your Sunday night experience was not what you expected. We apologize for the service, and will be speaking with our bar managers. We hope you will return to stay with us again so that we may alter your perceptions and deliver a quality experience.

Wonderful stay! The hotel was in a great location and very comfortable. We didn't get a chance to check out the bar on the top floor but it looked nice. Would definitely consider staying here in the future. The coffee and donut shop in the lobby was very good too!

Nice hotel... Not for family vacations though

It was a nice room but can use some maintenance on the walls and interior of the room... Not very kid friendly... No pool... The parking is a hassle..

We had reserved a suite but when we got there and tried to check in they claimed they didn't have one. The family ahead of us had the same problem. So they tried to put is in a king room... 2 adults and 2 kids and a baby. We told them that wouldn't work so they said they guessed we could have a double bed room. Not what we had wanted or reserved... Big disappointment!! Also the man at desk was so slow... We waited and waited in line.

Nice quiet Chicago hotel

Posted Jul 5, 2014
We had a wonderful time here at the raffaello. My only complaints would be that there are only 2 tiny elevators and the air conditioning is a little noisy. A nice quiet place on the north side of chicago
