Budget motel - good bang for your money

Posted Nov 20, 2014
Pros: I would return
Cons: Vacuum the floors. Install a small fridge and a hair dryer.
Location: Close to my eateries and shopping.
Reasonably priced. Bath tub and beds are clean except laminate floor can need cleaning attention. No fridge or hair dryer in my room which I was expecting. Close to eateries and shopping. Easy access to toll hwy. Hard to find access to motel. Staffs are polite and helpful. In brief, I would return to the motel now that I know how to find it!

Good hotel at a good rate.

Posted Nov 12, 2014
Was in town for a few days and really good price for a three night stay. Great location. Only issue I had was there seemed to be excessive noise. Located next to a thruway. Also, when the heat runs the register was loud. But overall a decent stay.

Best internet I've had in a hotel

Room was small but big enough, clean, and had several options for delivery of food. Wi-Fi was outstanding.

Worth it

Posted Nov 11, 2014
I was in Downers Grove for a 3 day workshop, and wanted to save some money. The RRI was $100 less than a nearby hotel that I had previously stayed. the location is good, lots of food places and shopping around. The reception staff were quite cordial. Rooms comfortable. I stayed in a king superior (coffee machine, fridge, microwave). Great internet access (free wifi). A motel sort of aesthetic; drive up to room kind of thing. Busy roads nearby. All in all, with that $100 saved, it was worth it. It served the purpose.

Expected better

Posted Nov 10, 2014
Pros: Conveniently located off of Interstate 355.
Cons: The customer service, the house keeping and more accommodating staff.
Location: N/A
I arrived to my room and it was dirty. The bed hadn't been made, there was fast food wrappers everywhere, dirty towels on the floor and on the bed. I couldn't believe they gave me a key to this room. The staff gave me a different room but it wasn't the king size bed I had reserved and I was charged for double occupancy when I was the only person staying in the room. When I brought this to the staffs attention, they said there was nothing they could do. A person would think that after such an inconvenience upon arriving to a filthy room and having to be moved to a smaller room that an adjustment would have been automatic.

Not so Stellar Dellar.....

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: The location and the updated look. The housekeeping staff was VERY nice.
Cons: Dellar can be improved. Hopefully she can find a job that she enjoys someday. The hard floors weren't nice and made your feet very dirty.
Location: Great shopping nearby. Great restaurants nearby. Great location to travel into Chicago.
The first impression when we walked in and met Dellar was not good. She gave no eye contact, no enthusiasm and no greeting, just asked if we needed help. Then said, "My systems froze, youre gonna have to wait." After a moment, she asked for our ID and still was very dry and gave no eye contact. She said that she couldn't find the reservation and told us to get on the phone and have them fax the information over. (No other explanation given) No apologies or anything. We called and waited approximately 20 minutes on the call while Dellar "helped" other guests. She was the same as mentioned above with them. Very short, no eye contact, no pleasantness. Not welcoming. This put up some red flags for us. Fortunately we found the rest of our stay to be fairly pleasant with the absence of Dellar! The room was nice and the housekeepers were very pleasant!

Quick night in. Golf at nearby course the next day

Posted Oct 14, 2014
Pros: location was great, price great.
Cons: A few toiletries and a hair dryer would be appreciated.
Location: great eating, drinking, and shopping, at your doorstep.
Hotel is spartan but sufficient. Small rooms, no real amenities except wifi. Staff was very nice. Brick house grill was nice close pub.
