Pros: It was downtown.
The hotel may give a good price but be prepared to pay $50 to park your car for the night.

ChicagoPosted Aug 29, 2014
They over booked and didn't have the room we expected. They tried to make up for it by offering us a room with a bed and a pull out couch instead of the room we booked with 2 beds. We were not willing to take that offer so they then offered 2 separate rooms which we opted to take and it turned out one of the rooms had broken air conditioning. With it being 4am we opted to delay with it. The woman at the front desk had the valet move a car that was parked in front of the hotel because we were having trouble finding parking. She advised we would be fine to park there for that night and the next night. We returned the next day to two valet employees leaning against my car smoking. They then proceeded to argue with us about our vehicle being parked there and stated it was there parking area although it was parked in front of a sign that stated parking was allowed Saturday and Sunday and we were told by the woman at the front desk we would be good until Monday morning. We were forced to move at a cost if $44 for the night.

Chicago Stay at Red Roof InnPosted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: Good location for walking around in the center of town.
Cons: Read about my experience.
Location: The Navy Pier. The architectural boat tour.
Let's see . . . the room was clean with 2 beds but about the size of a postage stamp. The WIFI was free for a reason: it didn't work in our room. When we were connected to IT, it sounded like they were talking through tissue paper. Incomprehensible. this was definitely a case of you get what you pay for in a big city.

Downtown Chicago HotelPosted Aug 20, 2014
Pros: The location.
Cons: The entire hotel need improving. The carpet need cleaning, the air conditioner in the rooms was too loud. Timeless cleaning of rooms.
Location: The location of this hotel was great. It was in walking distance of shopping, places to eat, sight seeing, and entertainment.
When I pulled up in the shuttle the doorman was nice and helped with our luggage, but the service went down from there. Could not sleep because the air conditioner ran so loud. The cleaning staff did not come by until after 5pm. The computer printer did not work that we use to print boarding passes. Not enough staff to check people in. It was old and dated, but could be updated and made into a very nice place. The rooms are too small. It was difinitely over priced for what I got.

Close to Navy Pier and Magnificent MilePosted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: The location was good but plenty of other hotels have a good location as well. Staff was friendly but didn't go out of their way to be accommodating.
Cons: They should improve on housekeeping.
Location: Magnificent Mile was around the corner and Navy Pier was within walking distance.
Shower drain was clogged, I informed the front desk early in the morning of our first day there. I was told maintenance would take care of the problem as soon as they saw him. As it turned out that was the next day in the middle of the afternoon. The bathroom was not cleaned or straightened up while we were there and I had to ask for the beds to be made. We almost ran out of toilet paper and had to go down to the front desk to get more, because they had no one to run it up to us. I knew this was not a luxury hotel but I thought making the beds and cleaning the bathroom was a basic service.

Only stay here as a last resortPosted Aug 16, 2014
This was nothing I had expected by the photos. When I booked it, I was thinking it looked really nice for a Red Roof. Considering it was right in the heart of the Magnificent Mile I thought it might be nicer. I was wrong. The bathrooms were gross and the toilet made terrible clanking noises and the sink dripped . I will not stay here and quite frankly I'm embarrassed to even admit that I did.
