Great Place to Stay

Posted Jul 29, 2015
This hotel is lovely. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean and well appointed. The staff was friendly, kind and very helpful. The free shuttle service was a big plus. We will stay there again.

Really nice interior hotel

The decor in the lobby and restaurants is really beautiful. The rooms could use a little updating.

Better than expected

Posted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: The staff and restaurant
Cons: Move it closer to downtown?
Location: About a 1/2 hour to Soldier Field and the Dead
We were in town to see the Grateful Dead and found the Hotel staff to be magnificent. Their house restaurant was phenomenal. The staff took time to help us with suggestions and directions about the local area. I know this is there role but they were so guest centered that they deserve the accolades I am giving.

The room smelt like beef from the steakhouse.

Pros: Not much
Cons: Too many to list unless you want to pay me to do a real assessment.
Location: Stayed there for personal business reasons. Had nothing to do with the the hotel reputation - purely convenience.
I wouldn't stay there again. No stores of any kink within walking distance and the smell of the chlorine from the pool was deadly. Lots of other problems and certainly not anywhere near a 3 star.

Convenient to I-94

Posted Jul 8, 2015
Pros: Quiet and very comfortable.
Cons: Food prices
Location: Used access to I-94 to go places in Skokie and Evanston.
Spent four days over Fourth of July weekend. Staff was very helpful the few times we needed assistance. Room prices were good. Thought some of the food prices, especially for breakfast, were high. Had a great view of some fireworks from our window. Basically, only used the hotel for sleeping.

It was a very relaxed, comfortable weekend. Couldn't have asked for a nicer place.
