Cons: Customer service.
The hotel was clean. The staff wasn't friendly or unfriendly. I was charged for Wi-Fi services I did not use. When I brought this to the front desk workers attention I was told I had to have used this service and that they would not reverse the charges. This is very disappointing and not very good customer service. I have unlimited data and do not need to use Wi-Fi. I will not be returning.

Nice place easy access to the CTA

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: The best thing is the location, it is easy to get anywhere and it is a short trip to the air port. on the Blue line.
Cons: The staff did respond slow to requests for towels, I had a group of 4 and the hotel room was only stocked with 3 towels. Room internet cost $$.
Location: We ventured out locally to the Rivers casino which was fun had a night club (Dress Code) and a good selection of games.
This hotel is located perfectly to access down town via the CTA. That means you don't really need a car to get around and the shuttle can take you other places if needed. The room is larger than most having a good deal of space to relax after a long day of work or play. The only down side is the long ride back from downtown it is an easy trip just takes time. My group enjoyed the space and the large bathroom it made getting ready in the morning easier for us.

An Excellent Suite for a Traveling Family

Posted Jun 23, 2015
Pros: Starbucks in the same hotel is big plus for me. I enjoyed my breakfast with Starbucks coffee and Cheese Danish.
Cons: Parking spots for hotel guest in the garage are not many. I need to drive around to find a spot at night. I think it is still ok though.
We are a family of five including two college students. The room was spacious and clean. Esp. the bathroom was excellent and all amenities are enough and renewed everyday. The bath tub was clean and looking new. The bed and blankets were very comfortable. The air conditioner was calm and worked nicely in both cooling and heating modes. I bought a package including 2 person breakfast and daily parking fee. This package was well worth of money spent. I will definitely come to Renaissance next time when my family come to Chicago area. Before purchase the package, I read several negative comments about this hotel in Expedia but now know those comments were just from a few unhappy customers.

Hidden costs

Posted Jun 23, 2015
Although the posted price of the room was terrific the extra charges were astronomical! $27 for parking/day, $13/day for wifi in the room- it was free in the lobby or if you were a rewards member. Unfortunately we didn't have much choice as we had a cancelled flight. I would expect these prices in downtown Chicago, but not at this location. Keep looking, there are much better deals near the airport.

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay. I am sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with your stay based on the extra fees. You are correct, the hotel does charge for parking, as do all hotels in the O'Hare area. The hotel does offer complimentary WiFi in the lobby area, should you not want to incur that extra charge in the guest room. Thank you again for your feedback!

Nice older Hotel

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Pros: Everything was up to my standards as a good quality hotel
Cons: notify everyone that you must pay for parking every night you stay there and let them know that wifi is only free in the lobby. this was ridiculous.
Location: I was here on business.
everything was really nice with this hotel. The staff was really a pleasure to be around, they were very professional, but you felt like you knew them. the atmosphere was warm and inviting. the hotel seems to be older, but everything was kept up very well. the restaurant was delightful, and the Chef had made some special dishes for our business guests. A+ for that. the room was inviting and contained everything you needed for your stay. the beds were comfortable, and every thing was clean. the shower was excellent. you must pay for parking every night, I did not know this until check in. Wifi is free only in the lobby....I could go to a fast food restaurant and get free wifi, come on guys. That is the biggest drawback of this Hotel. Smoking is permitted outside in the designated area, I didn't see many electronic cigarettes around, which is a shame. All in all, this was a really nice place to stay.

Good choice if one must be near airport

Posted Jun 17, 2015
Pros: Proximity to airport.
Hotel was fine/generic. Always stay in the city when in Chicago. But this time needed to be close to airport. Looked like a good deal on paper, but for a hotel out in the burbs, charges were high for every little thing. Still all in all it was ok.

Pros: bed was comfortable, staff was nice, nice shower
Cons: sheets were stained, wallpaper was peeling, lamp shades were ripped
Location: very close to the blue line train, but nothing to eat in walking distance
Not bad, but I was happy to go home. The wear and tear on the room made it feel dirtier than it probably was. The towels were hit or miss - one day they would be fluffy and soft, the next day they would be like sandpaper. But the staff was very nice.

Thank you for your feedback from your recent stay. The hotel is just finishing up a renovation of the lobby and meeting space and will then be refreshing the guest rooms. We do hope you choose to stay with us again in the near future!

Close to our kids & grandchildren

Posted Jun 8, 2015
Pros: The rooms were spacious
Cons: Nothing that I can think of
Location: Here for our 1 year old grand children's birthday
We got in late afternoon & were still able to get a very nice lunch and loved the room service for breakfast.

Nice hotel, decent price compared to downtown rate

Posted Jun 7, 2015
This is very nice and conveniently located hotel. It has decent rates. Close to airport and not too far from downtown. Staff was very nice and helpful, which made trip more enjoyable.
