Great Renovated hotel! Wonderful Customer Servic

Posted Nov 22, 2014
Pros: Renovated rooms, hot breakfast, and great staff!
Cons: Couch is nice, new and modern, but not very uncomfortable. Maybe offer Jacuzzi rooms, since no hot tub after the summer available for use.
We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights between September and November. My son attends Lake Forest College and we attended all of him home football games. This hotel is about 10 minutes away from Lake Forest in a business park and a quick jump on the interstate in the morning to head out for our 2 hour drive home. The hotel has had many renovation done over the last year which was great! We always feel very safe at this hotel. The hotel staff was wonderful and the complimentary hot breakfast in the morning was great! The staff was very willing to work with me to make sure I had the room type and location that I requested on each stay. Everyone was great and always very inviting and willing to help! We had a fireplace in our room which was a great addition from previous years. We will definitely stay there again for all of our home football games next year!

Great new Renovations!

Posted Sep 22, 2014
Pros: The newness.
Cons: The couch in the rooms.
Location: Near a great strip mall a block behind with lots of things to do!
We stayed at this hotel in 2012 for a few nights (my son played football at Lake Forest College and this was close) and loved it. The rooms were getting older but the hotel staff was great and rooms always clean which is why we chose to stay there. Not to mention the great hot breakfast before heading home to Madison, WI in the morning! There was a renovation in 2013 and the rates went above what I was willing to spend, so we changed rooms to another comparable hotel down the road for the 2013 football season. Once again this year we checked rates for the football season (we book for the whole season ahead of time if possible) and found the rates were back down to "reasonable". Since we loved the hotel, we re-booked for this year. Saturday was our first stay since the renovation and we loved it! Our room now had a fireplace which was a great surprise! Normally we would love a fireplace but oddly enough the temp was about 75 out side and the air was more appropriate! There was also a new pull out modern couch which is the only reason I took off one star for comfort. The couch was a great new modern item but in reality, was not very comfortable to sit on and watch TV. Anyone else, would probably love it! All in all, the renovation was great! I would definitely suggest staying here!

Very convenient hotel for staying then night

Posted Sep 20, 2014
Pros: I liked how everything was cleaned and we had all of the utensils we needed.
Cons: The bowls were a bit too small for soup and bigger meals.
Location: Location was close to Gurnee Mills and Six Flags
We came in the room and didn't expect it to be so luxurious. The kitchen had everything we needed. The tv could be turned around 360 degrees. Everything seemed too good to be true. I booked it at a low price of 87 dollars for one night.

Nice place

Nice place, but rooms far from elevator. Should have more options for breakfast. It is a little bit far from anything.

Great hotel, great pool, & great breakfast!!

Posted Aug 25, 2014
The hotel is very nice and exceeded my expectations. The outdoor pool and hot tub were great along with a grill and lounging area in the middle of the complex. The rooms are equipped with a full fridge dishwasher stovetop and all of the dish wear you would need. The pillow top bed was so comfy and there is also a sectional couch with a pullout sofa bed. It felt like a modern day studio apartment. My favorite part about this hotel was the free breakfast. Unlike most hotels that serve you hard bagels and muffins, there were got fresh made scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, fresh yogurt with fruit, waffles, Pepsi fountain drinks and a variety of juices! I was very impressed ! We stayed after a trip to six flags and I will definitely be staying here again!
