Great hotel, great pool, & great breakfast!!Posted Aug 25, 2014
The hotel is very nice and exceeded my expectations. The outdoor pool and hot tub were great along with a grill and lounging area in the middle of the complex. The rooms are equipped with a full fridge dishwasher stovetop and all of the dish wear you would need. The pillow top bed was so comfy and there is also a sectional couch with a pullout sofa bed. It felt like a modern day studio apartment. My favorite part about this hotel was the free breakfast. Unlike most hotels that serve you hard bagels and muffins, there were got fresh made scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, fresh yogurt with fruit, waffles, Pepsi fountain drinks and a variety of juices! I was very impressed ! We stayed after a trip to six flags and I will definitely be staying here again!

Excellent hotel close to amenities and downtownPosted May 27, 2014
Pros: The distance to the city and the amenities surrounding the area such as Walmart and grocery stores. I liked the spacious design of the room.
Location: Only 10 minutes from the Metra station to take you downtown Chicago, close to Walmart and restaurants. Also close to the nearby mall and Six Flags.
This hotel stay was fantastic! From check-in we received great service! We had a studio room for 4 adults. The room included a spacious full sized kitchen, pull out sofa and queen size bed. Everything was clean and the room was beautiful. We heard no noise from neighbors, etc. We requested an additional blanket for the sofa bed was housekeeping and it was brought promptly. The service was great and the continental breakfast was great to have onsite. I would highly recommend using this property! Close to Six Flags and driving distance to the Metra Station which is just a 45 minute ride to the city! Also close to Walmart and many restaurants!

Pros: I like the big rooms, and full kitchen provided.
Location: This hotel was about 10min from the Great Lakes Navy base. It was about 5min to Walmart, Starbucks, Restaurants, and much more.
The room was big, very comfortable, and clean. The staff was friendly and informative. I loved the full kitchen in the room. Continental breakfast was good too.

Low Key but ComfortablePosted May 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel staff were helpful. The room was very clean and tidy. Parking was easy. Breakfast was large and diverse, which worked well for all the different appetites. Not a luxury hotel, but a very positive one for a family or extended stay.

The staff here was very friendly and pleasant and went above in their service. The rooms were clean and modern. The hot breakfast in the morning was a delightful spread. I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in town for more than 2 days.

Superb in all respects!Posted Mar 23, 2014
Cons: I'm somewhat of a perfectionist and since I have no suggestions for improvement, I'd have to say that's really positive for this hotel!
Location: Walmart is down the street and a Denny's. Denny's food was sizzling hot and waitress Sarah was excellent! Not like Houston Dennys where you get ill.
If I was to be staying in the Chicago area for any length, this would be the place. Excellent for our trip to the Naval graduation! About 10 minute easy drive to the base. Very clean. Just like photos. Counter people were friendly and helpful. The maid was very sweet. We didn't end up using the kitchen area much but it was very clean with glasses and utensils supplied. I easily found the bottle opener for my Guiness that I picked up at the nearby Walmart and a full-size refrigerator to keep the supplies cold. There was also a fireplace with a timer hidden on the side behind the curtain. I should have read the card that was there and didn't realize the fireplace worked till the day I was leaving. It would have been nice to sit by the fireplace in the late evening relaxing with so much on my mind. Management left a very positive appreciative letter under the door on the last night with bill total attached. The letter also said we could just leave the keys by the phone when leaving for our convenience. We didn't feel rushed to get out on the minute and didn't see anyone in the halls at all when leaving. Very quiet place. We are often used to hearing maids making loud noises and waiting for us to exit at other hotels. There was never any noise, even though when returning I happened to notice a play pen and a baby arrive in the next room for our 2nd night stay. There was no noise at all, only peace, during the evening, night, and morning. Wonderful!!!

Very nice accommodations and good breakfastPosted Mar 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
I enjoyed my stay at the residence Inn and would definitely recommend it to others, regardless of your reason for staying. It was a very nice temporary home away from home; however iI would recommend that you request a 3rd floor room (top level) or ask that you you not be beneath a room full of children. This is what happened to us during our last night. The floors and the walls are very well insulated against sound, but even that wont completely alleviate the noise of a herd of baby elephants being corralled above head. Not the hotels fault, just food for thought if you will be in your room alot or if you will require alot of quite time.
