“Lively place, friendly staff, fun place to be.”
The hotel was crowded yet the hallways were clean and quiet. The pool was crowded and lively, nice job by staff keeping things orderly without limiting the fun.
“Great view, very good room, minor issues”
Overall, a very good experience. The bed, furniture and TV were all new and very comfortable and looked great. The river view was fantastic. The bathroom was a little dated and the walls were thin.
“Club Level Excellence”
Our hotel room had great views of river and city lights and was very comfortable for parents and two children. The evening host on the club level, Rene, was wonderful. He made our whole family feel welcome and went far beyond expectation to make our stay perfect. The pool was great with wonderful views of lake and river, but no hot tub. We will stay at the Sheraton the next time we are in Chicago. Again, three cheers for Rene!
“Bed was like sleeping on a rock.”
Parking fees were not free.cost was over a us grant per day. Prices were outrageous. No free wifi in the rooms.
“Great location, staff keen to help, big, busy and impersonal though”
A great base for a weekend of tourism - easy walking distance to trains from O'Hare (Clark and Lake), Millennium Park, Michigan Avenue, Navy Pier and all things downtown. Sheraton mass processing is efficient and copes well with the huge number of guests, but it does seem somewhat impersonal. Indoor swimming pool was too cold for children to stay in very long - and far too cold for adults! No hot tub to soak in and saunas are in changing rooms - can't go there as a couple or family! Great touch screen table tops and information boards in lobby kept kids of all ages happy. We didn't use restaurants etc - there are so many within walking distance we ventured out! Not sure it was worth paying for river view - when you're that high up you only really see the other skyscrapers unless you look down at the floor! Didn't like the $2 line 'access' charge to call a freephone number - will use my mobile next time!
“Will go back”
Very clean hotel with great service and location
“Very good but......”
Everything is fine but the noise from the up floor bathroom. It was so loud when somebody using. I had to close my bathroom with something could block any door gap. I'll think about it again when I plan next trip to Chicago.
“Pretty good hotel~”
Everything is perfect but one point. Because in my head this hotel is located in michigan ave but it is not. It takes me more than 10 min to walk to main shopping place of michigan ave. so if you want to shopping on the michigan ave you'd better choose a hotel located on the michigan ave~~
“Chicago Riverfront Hotel”
I booked a room with 2 double beds. When I arrived, there were only King rooms left. The desk clerk said they could put a rollaway in the room which needed to be done with several rooms. With 4 people in the room, that was difficult--3 in the King and 1 on the roll away. Very odd. Then there were only 2 bath towels in the room. Had to call to get more delivered. Hotel lobby was beautiful and location is very convenient. Just be aware of this bed and towel situation.
“great location, away from the hustle & bustle but close enough to walk to the magnificient mile!”
location is amazing!!! about 2 blocks walking distance to the Michigan Avenue/Magnificient Mile. 5 dollars cab ride to Navy Pier. overall was a great experience in Chicago. front desk was nice enough to give us a room with a nice view (when requested) with our window facing the river and the city skyline. this hotel is pretty busy, not sure if it is because of the thanksgiving holiday. we stayed there from nov 23 to nov 26 and walked to a lot of places from the hotel (wendella boat ride, magnificent mile, restaurants, clubs/bars). only took cab when my feet hurt from the high heels! lol. also, the hop on/off bus/trolley with chicago trolley or grayline both stop right in front of this hotel so it is definitely a plus to me since it was really convenient. love the location and for the price i paid through expedia, it was definitely worth it. front desk lady also gave us the room on the most top floor (floor 34) and it was really nice. 4 elevators available for floor 18-34 and they run rather quickly unless you have a full one with everybody stopping at each floor! overall, very well satisfied and will come back whenever im in chicago!
