I ended up getting a 2nd to the last available room at this hotel at last minute, due to the fact of a hotel we orginally we checked in at was in the works of being remodeled so it was dumpy. We left there to come here and we couldn't of been happier even with paying for breakfast here and the hotel being sold out I was quite impressed. We didn't have any disruptions with the hotel being sold out and the hotel staff was ALL very friendly and professional. The rate was higher than other around but I was overjoyed I didn't have to stay at a dump hotel (Comfort Suites in Lombard). We had many restaurants nearby to choose from. Amenities were very nice. Room design was different than the boring set up of most hotel rooms. I highly recommend this hotel if you for sure want some thing nice and inviting and MODERN!!

This was my second time staying at the W Lakeshore for the Chicago Marathon. They were incredibly accommodating, even bringing scissors and ice up to our room so we could ice our knees and tape our ankles post-marathon! Room service menu was great. Concierge was incredibly helpful and we were able to book most everything through them for our trip, from restaurant reservations to sightseeing. Hotel lobby reminded me of the W in NYC, very swanky and modern. The hotel bar was great, with unique, tasty drinks. The gym had about 5 treadmills and 6 bikes, along with the basic weight lifting equipment, and overlooked Navy Pier from the 7th floor. The hotel pool was standard size. Cool towels were available along with some of the latest Vogue, etc magazines at your convenience. We stayed in two double beds, overlooking downtown Chicago. There were multiple rooms in our party and they were very accommodating in putting all of our rooms next to each other. Overall, an incredible experience!!
