Excellent price, location and foodPosted Jul 11, 2014
We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms. It was a 2 bedroom unit. There was a flat screen TV in each bedroom and in the living area. The beds are comfortable and there are plugs on the outside of night stands which is GENIUS since whenever we are staying in a hotel we have to go digging around looking for a place to charge our phones and other devices. The breakfast was great. Everyday the "main course" changed. The variety was refreshing for us especially our kids. We will be staying at this hotel for our next visit.

Great stay while we moved my daughter.Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Our room had been recently renovated. Hugely comfortable. Great beds and kitchen.
Cons: Attention to dispensers in showers. Better TV reception.
Location: I liked the location. Near shopping malls & IKEA, which is what we were looking for during our daughter's move into a new apartment.
Very accommodating staff at front desk. Really nice room(s), with lots of space. Breakfast was not great, but helpful to have access to. Some of the shower products were empty (they use dispensers for shampoo, conditioner & bath gel). Cable TV was marginal.

ExceptionalPosted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: Comfort, cleanliness, friendly staff
Location: the hotel is almost 20 miles away from main attractions in Chicago but its location is very safe and quite.
We stayed at this hotel for one night but I must say that the hotel was beyond my expectations. the hotel was very clean and staff was very friendly. I was not expecting such a comfort and cleanliness. Breakfast was good enough. Room has a lot of space and very comfortable and clean. I would recommend this hotel anyone who are looking for a hotel around Chicago.

Great stay!Posted Jun 28, 2014
Arrived to early to get into the room, ask about getting a train to downtown. The staff was VERY helpful in getting directions to the train and where to park. All the staff was very nice and helpful. Will definitely stay there again.

Hotel was in the middle of an upgrade which it definitely needed! Old old rooms that didn't have a fantastic smell to them:(

3day stayPosted Jun 14, 2014
Under construction so a bit chaotic but that's ok. The staff was all super nice and helpful when needed. I liked the stay good price a lot of space the room was a bit out of date but I do not expect designer decor at a hotel that's not what I need. The kids had a good stay here I will recommend and would stay again.

This hotel is average on its best day.Posted Jun 13, 2014
Pros: There was nothing exceptional about it...low end.
Cons: Parking lot drainage needs to be improved. There was 4-6 inches of standing water in several areas of the parking lot after a day of rain.
Location: location was good.
This hotel is a plain Jane, run-of-the-mill low end facility. It was over priced and further denigrated by a large refurbishing project going on during my stay. Expedia, where my package was purchased, should have known about the refurbishing and let us know about it during the booking process. It probably didn't make any difference to Expedia but it made a big difference to me.

pleasant surprisePosted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: Definitely a great place to stay if you are looking for a suite that gives you more room then a basic hotel room with 2 beds!
Cons: Constructing a walk-way / stairs up to the building we stayed in from our car. We had a grass hill with unsteady pavers to walk up.
We had never heard of Sonesta Suites when we booked the hotel, but we took our chances because it offered what we needed and the price was great. Our 2 room suite was perfect, plus it had a very nice sized sitting area off the kitchen with a sleeper sofa. Each bedroom had its own big bathroom which I did not realize when we booked the room. They include a food and drink "reception" from 530pm - 730 through the week and a great breakfast every morning ( not just a basic continental either) You do have to walk to the main office for the food though, which wasn't a problem for us since it was June, but in the winter it might not be fun:) The outdoor pool was heated, which was nice. The staff was so friendly, acknowledging you whenever you walked in the front door, and even when we were walking the grounds they always said hi to you. We had a minor issue with our shower which was fixed in no time at all once I called to let them know.
