“Nice hotel”

The hotel was clean and comfortable. We stayed one night and would not hesitate to visit again.

“Great Value for a Return to the Old Neighborhood”

Motel is in my old neighborhood. I spent a week in a spacious room with refrigerator and microwave. For the price I paid the room was a good value and clean. Free breakfast was cereal, donuts, bagels and a great value, excellent coffee. Free wi-fi, worked flawlessly all week. Staff was helpful and friendly. It appeared clean but had one of those dark blue carpets that don't show dirt until you stand in the shower and see how dirty the bottoms of your feet are.Litter in the parking lot, while not excessive, seemed to be overlooked by the staff. The TV had a good mix of local and cable channels. There is a shortage of parking at this Motel. I have seen other reviews of this property and they say there is no public transportation. That is not true. You can walk 4 blocks south to Grand Avenue, where buses will take you just about anywhere in Chicago and suburbs. You can connect with Metra trains. Three blocks south is a world famous hot dog stand called Gene & Jude's (google it!). I have gone there all my life and it is the quintessential Chicago hotdog. Across the street is The Peacock Carwash, free air for your tires, best cigarette prices in town, alcoholic beverages, gallon milk at supermarket prices, and Lotto, open 24 hours. Gas up the rental car there, the night before you return it.

“Great place to stay if you dont need to be right in Chicago”

Everything was great except for a couple minor issues. The TV reception was not the best, there was not enough parking for all the people staying at the hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. The shower had adaquite pressure and the bed was not too hard. I would definately stay here again.

“Surprisingly Good”

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I arrived very late and the staff was very helpful in getting me checked in, then called to make sure the room was okay. The room was very clean and in good repair. The area is a bit industrial but was very quiet, and, at least on the night I stayed, not underneath one of O'Hare's flight paths! There was also a very nice continental breakfast available, starting at 6, which was acutally early enough for me to grab something before heading out for my flight. It was very easy to get back to O'Hare and did not involve getting on any of the rush hour clogged expressways. I would totally stay here again for an early morning flight out.

“chicago trip”

Nice hotel for the price. Location for my trip was good. Proximity to airport was good.

“Reasonable rates for vist”

Close to Ohare and my family. Rate is affordable for extended vist. Not much in area but spent most time with family.

“Decent”

Typical hotel. Room and bathroom were clean. Room service was good and the people were friendly. Only 'complaint' was that the faucet sprayed water everywhere. Everything else was great.

“All right for a one night stay”

The outside needed some work.The service was supurb. We were able to check in early and take a nap before we went to our event. When we asked for directions the lady at the front desk was very helpfu. The room was relatively clean and tasefully decorated. Not a bad place for a one night stay.

“Good location”

The only negative bit we had about this hotel was limited parking, and the fact that it's right on an intersection, sometimes making traffic interesting, but the noise from the road (and nearby O'Hare) was minimal and we enjoyed our stay quite a bit. The ladies behind the desk were very friendly and very helpful when we asked for directions around Chicago and gave us several good maps. Three or four miles up the street is a train station that will take you directly into the Chicago, where you can also transfer to several other trains to get around. It takes a little time, but it's convenient and MUCH better than driving downtown ($3 for 18 hours of parking at the train station!) The room wasn't spectacular.. basic coffee, not great lighting, and was decently clean, but we only used it for an overnight stay and found it to be everything we needed for our purposes.
