Pros: Excellent position, great ambience, great friendly knowledgeable staff.

Location: Close walking proximity to Chicago's main attractions and hop on/off bus.
Could hardly fault especially when on a special deal

Would not stay again!

Posted Jul 24, 2014
Booked through expedia and when we came to check in they did not have the room we payed for. We had to downgrade. The room wasn't ready for us so we had to change in the locker room! They did not compensate us at all The hotel had a nice room but the breakfast was disgraceful. Three or four items for $35 a person! Pitiful for the amount of money we paid.

Fantastic views.

Posted Jul 24, 2014
Pros: Great location with fantastic views of the Chicago River and Lake Michigan. Room was very spacious and also provided an empty refrigerator.
Cons: Free Wi-Fi in guests rooms. They could also improve the service at the Starbucks in the Lobby. Very slow in the morning.
Location: Fantastic views of Chicago River and Lake Michigan. Architectural river boat tour close by was great.
Easy friendly and very pleasant check in. Clean, spacious and very comfortable room. Fast hassle free check out. The only negatives were no coffee and tea making facilities and having to pay for Wi-Fi in the room. Parking is expensive at the hotel as well.

The staff was friendly and location was great. Was in town for Rock and Roll half marathon and the location was excellent for walking to Grant park but also for shopping.

Great hotel in the heart of Chicago

Posted Jul 14, 2014
Pros: Everything
Wonderful girls weekend over the July 4 th weekend! The Swissotel couldn't have been in a more convenient location. Our room had a wonderful view of the river and Navy Pier.. And was absolutely perfect in every way. The staff couldn't have been nicer, giving directions and suggestions that made our stay even more fun. I would highly recommend the hotel!!

Incomparable views

Pros: Location, convenience and views.
Cons: I would have loved coffee in the room. I was surprised that there was no coffee maker. We could not get reliable wireless service in our room.
Location: We walked to Navy Pier for architectural boat tour...don't miss it. Also to Art Institute, planetarium and aquarium. Able to hit Taste of Chicago
I stayed at the Swissotel in July with my 15-year-old granddaughter. I chose it for the location...close to the lake and the river and walking distance to Grant Park with the museums and other attractions. We stayed on the 27th floor and the views were spectacular....the Navy Pier and Ferris wheel, the boats on the lake, the Chicago skyline. We walked everywhere. We didn't need a rental car. If we got tired of walking, we hailed a pedicab. The room was spotless and ample.

Great location with terrific staff!

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: Location, staff, and facilities!
Location: A quick cab ride from the orange line from Midway Airport, it really is close enough for walking or riding a city bus to most sites.
Even though we arrived much earlier than check-in, the staff was able to let us go to our room. The staff was wonderful in giving directions and helpful hints for getting around the city using public transportation. Our room was quite lovely and very comfortable. The view from our window was of the beautiful Lake Michigan! We will definitely recommend the Swisshotel as well as stay there again when we return to the city.
