“Immaculate & Charming”

I have to give a mention to the quality of the staff service, even ringing down to Room Service they were so sweet and personable. In most hotels I have visited they sound bored and distracted but every step of the way the staff were warm and sounded genuinely concerned about the quality of your stay. Which was excellent. And the Mercat tapas is delicious. The only downside is they could do with a larger room service menu... Otherwise, perfection!

“Highly Recommended Hotel”

The hotel was a wonderful place to stay in Chicago - within walking distance of major museums, Grant Park as well as 'the Golden Mile' just up the street. Lots of public transit, including the subway, nearby. The rooms are very large and recently renovated complete with HD TV's (with an HD source as well). Staff are friendly and helpful. This hotel will be our first choice on every subsequent visit to Chicago.

“when I go back to Chicago, I will only stay at the Blackstone”

the Blackstone is a gem among hotels. Smaller and attentive to its guests, with decor that speaks of a much higher room rate, I would never again stay at one of the chain hotels when in Chicago.

So. michigan ave across from the park was fantastic. one block from the red line and a corner stop for the free trolley to navy pier. we will make this hotel our place to stay on our next visit.

“In love with The Blackstone”

I upgraded to penthouse upon arrival. Beautifully decorated and overlooking Buckingham Fountain and Lake Michigan. Convenient bus stop right across the street to take you up Magnificient Mile and another stop that take you to Adler, acquarium and Field Museum; museum campus. Walking distance to train. Great restaurant in lobby. Very friendly staff. They even gave me a private tour of the ballroom. Great size. 300 rooms not overwhelming like some of the larger hotels in town. Beautiful historic renovation. Will go back.

“A great blend of the old and the new”

This is one of the first luxury hotels in Chicago and, in our book, it still is. The comfortable lobby is beautiful and ornate. The rooms are updated and cozy. Staff are all helpful and friendly. Restaurants are a short walk. The fabulous Art Institute is just 4 blocks away. If you are considering springing for the lake view, do it. If the weather is bad or you're just too tired for sightseeing, you have spectacular views from Navy Pier to McCormick Place - Michigan Ave, Buckingham Fountain, Grant Park, and the lake. We had a wonderful time and hope to return to the Blackstone.

“Excellent Hotel!!”

We were a little skeptical when we saw the year the hotel was built but as soon as we got there we fell in love. The completely renovated rooms made the hotel feel brand new. The employees are extremely nice and helpful. The location is great! Overall our stay there was amazing and we will definitely be going back!

wonderful bed and bed linens- TV was difficult to watch, perhaps the bed had been moved for some reason. Seemed to be on the wrong wall.

“Beat my expectations”

In town for a convention at the McCormick Center, I was looking for a hotel to basically store my clothes and rest my head. I also knew it had been under renovation. The hotel for surpassed my expectations. I was more than pleased. In addition to a very nice roomy room and bathroom, the location of the hotel was great it was a short cab ride from McCormick but I took the No. 3 or 4 bus which dropped me off right in front and a block away. I started to take the train in from Midway but instead took the airport shuttle bus which I recommend for first timers or someone who is traveling with more than one bag. It's also across from Grant Park which has something going on every night during the summer. And it is within walking distance of some nice restaurants and shopping. As a journalist who also writes travel articles, I would certainly stay there again.
