“Beautiful facility tucked away in the burbs”

I was impressed with the quality of my room and the hotel overall. It's a gorgeous property with lots of trees and outdoor space, far removed from any (other) semblance of surburbanism. Very clean room with high quality, modern amenities (the flat screen TV was a nice touch, though what good is an HDTV with analog feeds?). I'd highly recommend the Lodge. I was there for a wedding, which was equally gorgeous and well done, on the premises.

“Beautiful Property”

The hotel's inside and out were very nice but the natural environment around the hotel took the cake. We were able to have lunch right by the water and feed the big fish in the lake. Great hotel!

“Quiet Convenient Suburban Location”

The Hyatt Lodge is located on the wooded campus of the McDonald's Corporate headquarters, south of OHare and west of downtown in upscale Oak Brook, very near freeways but surrounded by trees and ponds. Hamburger University is in an adjacent building (many guests are taking seminars there), and all the buildings are in a modern mix of Frank Lloyd Wright and Mies van der Rohe. Spacious public rooms with lots of contemporary art and views over the landscape. Most guest rooms are oversized and first rate. The restaurants are run by Hyatt, not by McDonald's so no Big Macs. An excellent fitness facility. The pool is only 3'9" deep, for swimming and not aqua-robics.

Loved it. Grounds are beautiful with a lot of walking paths. People are extremly friendly. Would go back again.

I love this place, from the lobby, to the rooms... the bar is cozy, its a great place for romance, relaxation, or last minuet getaway.. not to kid friendly, but theres room for the lil ones too.

The setting is surrounded by wooded acreage with terraced levels of water features, a major golf course and quick accessibility to Downtown Chicago and nearby north and southwestern suburbs. Close proximity to a mix of high end and moderate priced resturaunts and shopping. Classic Contemprory rooms that were well maintained by a friendly courteous staff. Nothing but excellent reviews from this well read traveler. I would definately recommend the Hyatt Lodge. High end lodging, amenities at a moderate competetive lodging price. I really enjoyed the biking/walking paths, event sized indoor swimming pool with large walk in heated spa. Fitness facility was huge and well equipped with state of the art equipment and private day spa services. Very classy enviornment with multi level layout with interesting finishes of stone, metals, brick, full height window wall and wood finished ceiling finishes.

“Wonderful”

Maybe 30 minutes from O'hare with traffic, wrapped in a quiet wooded area and nature where I wouldn't have expected it, clean, nicely appointed, excellent service. The only possible negative is parking, which is a little hike from the hotel (though a lovely one), but they are gracious about allowing short-term parking close to the hotel for loading and unloading, and valet service is offered. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet, every amenity I needed and a few more. I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice it was.

“Ultimate in customer service”

This is our second time staying at the Lodge; this time for three days with my daughter and her two year-old. We were visiting my Chicago daughter, and the only problem with this property is that it is not convenient to the city. But we knew that, and chose it because it is in a gorgeous spot. The pool here is the most spacious and attractive indoor pool I have ever seen. Also, not one day went by that the manager recognized us and asked how our stay was going. The bar, cafe, and fabulous restaurant staff are equally customer-oriented. Finally, during the last night before we had to check out, my granddaughter was ill most of the night. We called down to ask about a pharmacy location, and were told someone would actually take us and were also told to take as long as we needed to get some extra sleep. The staff of this hotel should give lessons to hotel/motel personnel everywhere. AND I TRAVEL QUITE A BIT!
