“Great Hotel”
Wonderful hotel and all the amenities one would want...The only negative is the $50/day parking, but every other feature is terrific.
“Will be back again for sure”
The quality of the hotel, the service, the attentiveness of the staff were all excellent. Great value! I can't wait to stay there again.

“Great Hotel”
Great location, great staff, great beds, great decor
“Hip Modern Hotel with great service”
Brand new hotel with a modern/hip vibe steps away from Michigan avenue and restaurants. The staff was very professional, courteous, and accommodating. The bed/bedding was incredibly comfortable. The in-room stereo with I-pod connection and CD player was great. Other nice details included in room coffee-table books and far better than average in-room bar with full size liquor bottles available for a reasonable price. We had drinks and appetizers at the hotel bar and enjoyed brunch at the Primehouse Restaurant the next day. We've stayed at a number of hotels in Chicago and this is by far was one of the most impressive for the $.
“Very nice -- will go back”
Great location. The room was very comfortable -- great bed, well furnished and clean. I judge a hotel room on the following: quality hair dryer that isn't connected to the wall, great fitness center with no additional charge, good lighting, and great toiletries. The James had it all. The staff was friendly, breakfast was good and prices not bad for a downtown hotel.
“The only place to stay....”
I took my daughter to Chicago for the weekend and we stayed at The James..what a wonderful hotel. The staff are amazing. They are helpful, polite and eager to make the stay one of a kind. The food is amazing. It is a block off of Michigan Ave. I will go back and stay at this hotel again.
“Nice Hotel”
Would have liked a better view, but nice hotel.
“Good Hotel, Great Location”
Great location, 1 block west of Michigan Ave. Rooms were modern, nice and decent size. Bathroom was not tiny, but maybe a bit small.
