“Magnificent lobby close to the L”
I have gone back to this hotel two years in a row. I love the 1920s era lobby and feel of the hotel. The location is very convenient and close to the L train. However, this also meant that even on the 19th floor I could hear the train going by at night. The room accomodations are otherwise very comfortable. The is hi-speed internet access but no wi-fi in the room. There is wi-fi in the lobby for a fee. I would still go back just to see the lobby.
“the best I've had in USA.”
Great hotel, great location. Fantastic! Would come back again.
“Palmer House is a great place!”
Great hotel, friendly staff, unexpected extras like hot cider on a cold day in the lobby , great bath products (ultra high end), Potter's Bar has excellent cocktails and location is convenient to all you need! Love it!
“Historic Hotel in Downtown Chicago”
We were immediately impressed when we entered the lobby. This historical hotel is very grand and beautiful inside. Lots of elaborate details in the lobby and Empire Room. The rooms themselves were very modern and updated so it didn't lack any modern conveniences. It is right next to shops and restaurants and a short walk to Millennium Park or Macy's. We got a fantastic price for a holiday weekend, it was worth every penny.
“Good in general”
I think the problem is the room is too small, and we had two people living in two double room, but somehow I found I can only stay in bed while my roommate was sitting on the table.
“amazing customer service hotel, restaurant, cleaning staff, gym....all great!”
We had an amazing dining experience at the Lockwood. The staff was incredible and really aided in a wonderful dining experience. The entire staff is great and the cleaning staff was so pleasant.
“great place”
My husband and I had a great night at the Palmer Hotel! We will definitely stay there again.
“great location”
great deal if you book it online and 1month in advance.
“Most comfortable beds ever!”
Everything was very clean and comfortable. We did have a smaller room this time that was a little disappointing. It was theholiday so lots of families at the motel. The pool was full most of the time and lots of little kids were in the hot tub! We couldn't even get in. It was the holiday.
“Great location”
Walking distance to many 'must see' places
