“Perfect balance of location/price”

Awesome location to check out Chicago. Hotel was clean w/ friendly staff. Parking costs are ridonculously high in the whole area. Best bet is to just take the hit on the valet parking and not worry about finding street or garage parking.

“Great hotel, Great location”

Stayed Aug '09. Hotel was clean and staff was friendly and professional. Hotel was comfy, especially the bed and the pillows! Location is perfect: right off Mich Ave, close to Rush street (Pizza and hotdogs!), and close to a red line stop. Felt safe walking at night. Starbucks right across the street or brunch at Didka's (good and not too expensive). I will stay here again, no question.

Loved the hotel. Was able to check in early seing that my bus arrived in the morning. Great service. Would love to stay at the hotel again.

except for the construction right outside our window and the need to measure our windows for new curtains while we were there (stranger danger) it was a pleasent stay the staff was very helpful .the only other thing was the phone in our room didn't work and couldn't call down to the front desk

I was so happy I picked this hotel! it was reasonably priced, the rooms were very nice and I couldnt have picked a better location to be in. Highly reccomend.

“Charming Hotel”

While the Tremont is an older hotel, it s full of charm, and you can't beat the loacation - right off of Michigan Avenue! The staff is very helpful, especially Zeke who helped me with directions on getting to O'Hare Airport via train. I arrived early and I had no problem checking into my room. I thought my room was very comfortable and had a great heater (the weather was rather cold when I was in Chicago so it was nice to go back to a warm room). There is also a Starbucks right across the street. I would definately stay again and again.

“Great Location!”

The proximity of ths hotel to the Magnificent Mile is difficult to surpass. Excellent shopping and restaurants very close by. My only disappointment was the attitude of the morning front desk clerk. She seemed to just "do her job" and was not friendly at all.

“Older hotel, excellent value”

Quiet location in a very convenient part of town. While an older hotel it is very clean and rooms are well kept. Service was good and response to requests was generally prompt and efficient. Excellent value for our stay.

“Nice room, great location, great price!”

This was our first experience with the Tremont. I booked the rooms for my cousin from Germany and a buddy of his. The rooms are a bit dated, but still clean and conmfortable. The location is great! Ditka's original restaurant is attached. Continental breakfast (served in a room at Ditka's) is only $5 - such a deal! As it turned out, the buddy had a personnel problem at work back in Germany and had to leave after only one night. No problem, the management refunded the extra night's charges. Great and friendly staff and I cannot say enough about the manager. This is how guests are supposed to be treated! I will not hesitate to book other visitors there in the future, and Expedia made in convenient and very reasonable.
