“Outstanding Hotel Experience”

This place is wonderful; great location, interesting neighborhood, top-notch employees and right on CTA routes. The atmosphere is subdued and friendly and the hotel has a unique charm. Can't wait to go back, would recommend it to anyone going to Chicago.

“Nice "boutique" hotel.”

Room was very nice. You can save a few bucks by parking yourself if you don't need in and out privileges, at the same lot. Older hotel nicely redone. Breakfast is adequate if you want to save a bit.

“Small gem in a great area”

Had a great stay and enjoyed the beautiful Lincoln Park area. The room and bed were very comfortable and the hotel in general was a great value for the price. The front desk people were nice, attentive, and extremely helpful with recommendations and directions. Classic jazz piped into the lobby in the evenings was a nice touch. Heater was a bit noisy at night, but was not a problem. Used the Bally's fitness pass and took walks to the Nature Museum, Conservatory of Flowers and the Lincoln Park Zoo. Within a block of several stores and restaurant chains (Starbucks, Panera, etc.) but ask about local hangouts instead. Parking is behind hotel in a garage, but we only needed the car to visit family in the suburbs.

“Very nice hotel”

Rooms are a little small, but comfortable and clean. Pipes make a banging noise for raditor heat a little noisy, but not too bad. Continental breakfast very good.

“Great place to stay out of the fray of downtown.”

Service was great. The hotel, while old, was clean and comfortable and in a great Lincoln Park location with easy access to restaurants and stores. Parking is about a block away at $22/day. Good continental breakfast. Exceptional front desk staff.

“Clean, Comfortable Hotel”

This was by far one of the best hotels I have stayed at in a long time. Staff were EXTREMELY knowledgable and helpful, everything was clean, and it had such charm. We were in Chicago to see some baseball games, and the hotel was manageable walking distance from Wrigley field, and even closer to the El station.

“Beautiful Charming Hotel”

The Willows has so much charm and it is conveniently located in Lincoln Park. I would definitely stay here again. It is within walking distance of lots of shops and restaurants. The staff was wonderful and even upgraded our room. The breakfast in the morning was good especially eating right next to the cozy fireplace. Beautiful hotel with a good price.

“Very Nice stay”

Our room is very clean though a little bit small. The staff were very helpful and very friendly and the location is very convenient. The bus stop is a just a couple of minutes walk and you can go anywhere in the city. I would definitely come back to this hotel again next time I visit Chicago.

“Nice, quaint hotel in great area”

The Willows is on a nice, tree-lined side street away from the noise and crowds of the Lakeview area. It has a very European feel. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful. It is also a quick walk to some great restaurants and shopping.

“Highly Recommended”

I highly recommend this hotel. The building is old, but the rooms are very comfortable. The staff was exceptional -- they were extremely polite, nice, and helpful in recommending restaurants and explaining how best to get to various locations. The neighborhood is wonderful -- lots of one-of-a-kind shops (including several really good bookstores) and good non-chain restaurants. The hotel is within walking distance of Wrigley Field (a little over a mile)...but even if you'd just like to go for a walk, the area is delightful.
