Lovely hotel in a lovely neighborhood!

The Sutton Place has become, over the past few years, my preferred hotel, and is always my first choice. The bustle of the "Viagra Triangle" weekend nights aside, the neighborhood is just far enough removed from the Mag Mile/Michigan Ave. scene to feel like a respite from that chaos. The hotel has the best bathtubs in the city, and the facilities and service always exceed any demand placed on them. A quailty experience every time!!

Love this boutique hotel.

Pros: Soaking tub, location, very comfy beds.
Cons: Need microwave, coffee pot in room. And watch out for the added internet fees.
Location: Perfect location. Close to great restaurants, shopping, and I have always felt safe in that area.
I always stay at the Sutton when in Chicago. Perfect location, staff is always readily available and helpful. Rooms are immaculate love the soaking tub and very comfy beds. I would recommend a coffee pot and microwave in the rooms though. Tavern on the Rush is excellent food right next door, a small deli with excellent Panini's and "to die for" brownies and CVS just a couple of blocks north and 4 blocks south on Rush try Giardinnos. Best pizza we have ever had.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful! Our corner room had a great view but was missing some things that would have made for a more comfortable stay, There was only a desk chair in the room even though there was plenty of room for a comfortable chair or loveseat. The room also did not have a coffee pot, which has become a common amenity in hotels that are considerable less expensive. We needed a cab and the bellman hailed one for us--we had to walk across the street and get into the cab in traffic--there was no room for the driver to pull into the hotel entrance area. This was also true when we arrived--we had to double park on the street and unload our luggage.

Convenience

I loved this location but it was surprising they make you pay for wireless internet especially for the amount the hotel cost per night. They also charge $55/night to park which I think is a little high.

Very pleased

First time stay. Hotel in great shape for aged decor. Location is exactly where we needed for limited business. Room size & cleanliness (king room) were excellent. Ice machines would be convenient. We are disappointed we won't be able to book for our next trip in the winter due to renovations but definitely will return when re-opens.

I had to stay at this hotel due to a death in the family as this was very close to the residence. It is very convenient to all of the Michigan Avenue sites. One issue is the difficulty and expense with parking.
