Would Stay Again!Posted Sep 25, 2014
Pros: See Above
Cons: water pressure in shower
Location: See Above
Clean and our room was large. being a older hotel some rooms may be small but ours was great. Small kitchen area, another room where the desk and couch was, then bed and bath area. Water pressure was low in the shower so they need to look into that. Once we adjusted the shower head it was do-able. reminded me of being at my grandmothers house. Lots of places to eat with-in walking distance. Ask at front desk about the coupons for dining out.We will stay there again

Could not sleep at night due to all kind of horrible noises from street. Very small bed, small room.

The hotel was okPosted Sep 22, 2014
Pros: the staff
Cons: update the walls and ceiling with new paint and the elevators are super slow and truly don't make you feel safe.
Location: this was good and liked the local businesses and the grand park around the corner.
This hotel is old and outdated but the staff was very pleasant.

The shower didn't produce much water and there could have been more room to put things in the bathroom e.g shelves

Downtown ChicagoPosted Sep 2, 2014
Cons: It needs to be remodeled and updated. The photos on the website is not what the hotel rooms look like
I realize that the hotel is probably old but it doesn't have to look old. The lobby looked like it was remodeled. I booked two rooms. I was able to check in early to one room. I went to that room it looked like a closet converted into a room. There was enough room to walk around the bed and that was about it. I had a second room to check into, so I went back down to check into that room I was told that the first room was what I booked and the second room would be bigger. So I booked my rooms from expedia that means I get a smaller room.? I will never use expedia again if that is the case. Very disappointed.

Clean, comfortable, within walking distance to soldier field, parks and the lake. Convenient parking across the street. Hotel validates making it $10 or $20 savings. Close to mass transit.

Toilet overflowed, low water-pressure in shower, small rooms. Spend $20 more at the Congress Plaza next door!

Chicago 2014Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: It was close to most of the places that were in the City Pass for Chicago. Maintenance men were very nice and helpful, house keeping was honest.
Cons: The Hotel needs to be revamped and updated, better yet, torn down and rebuilt!
Location: Plenty of Parks, The Shedd Aquarium, The Planetarium, The Field Museum, Millennium Park, The Sears Tower, Navy Pier, and many more attractions.
The Hotel was the worst I have ever stayed in. The room was so small and cramped and hot, as they only had window air conditioner units. We checked into the room late, and we were on the 4th floor, right across from the elevator. We walked in the room, and it was so incredibly hot!! The window unit was not enough to cool the room down at all. The elevator was not working correctly and we had to use the maintenance elevator the majority of the time. The worst thing was that the Hotel overbooked. Upon returning to the Hotel after sightseeing, and we were locked out of our room. We went to the front desk to be told that I would not have accommodations for the next night, "but feel free to use our computers in the lobby to find a new hotel". I was outraged! I could not believe the nerve of the Night Clerk. I did find accommodations at the South Loop Hotel, which was a very nice hotel. Conduit and wires run along the ceilings. It was an old hotel that should be out of service!! The worst stay ever!
