“Going Green”

The hotel talks about going green and asking us to go green by using sheets and towels over. On the other hand the hall leading to our room was an absolute ice book. Makes one think going green is just a gimmick to Westin Hotel management.

things i loved about the hotel: hotel staff was amazing - best overall service, rooms were awesome, price was very good, resturant in hotel was one of the best. this would be my 1st choice at any hotel i have ever stayed. awesome hotel

This hotel was great.It was an excellent location for us.The pool, hot tub, and sauna, heavenly bed and bath were fantastic.We would stay again.

“well placed with excellent shuttle bus and drivers”

hotel was well placed for shopping plenty of dining options and close but not too close to the major roads. Hotel shuttle bus excellent and will take to metra station for downtown Chicago and collect you with your 100s of shopping bags full of bargains . took car into centre for museums no problem with traffic or parking. Were Brits and live in a rural village if we can do it so can anyone Lovely but windy!!!

“Fabulous!”

I travel for business many times a year, and usually stay in mid-range three star hotels, so what a treat it was to stay at the Westin! It was built only about a year ago, the wonderful shuttle drivers told me, and is decorated in a very modern but warm decor. The shuttle drivers also provided endless information on the best places to eat and go. The concierge and support staff were also incredibly friendly, even though one traveler in front of me was having one of those rotten luck trips. I ate once at Holy Mackerals! (part of the hotel) and was greeted by a charismatic staff, and great cuisine. The hotel is not close to downtown chicago, so if it is your intention to spend the bulk of your time seeing the usual sights, i would not reccomend it. If you are going to a conference over there, I would definately reccomend it.

This hotel was in the best location we could have asked for. Not in the city centre of Chicago but within easy distance by car which was our only mode of transport during our stay. However, the horel offers a minibus shuttle service to the train station which was at our disposal for a lift within 5 minutes of us mentioning the possibility of getting the train. The staff were extremely welcoming and very helpful - even providing the film time schedules for the cinema which was a 2 minute walk from the hotel. They were all very friendly and seemed to be happy to help you with anything. The swimming pool and jacuzzi was also really well maintained, clean and towels provided for you here also. The location was excellent for restaurants and shopping - all within a 5 minute walk. The rooms were lovely, very clean, huge bed and TV!!! The restaurants attached to the hotel were very inviting. We tried Harry Carrys which was excellent and well worth a visit (or two in our case). Everything about the hotel, location and Chicago were fantastic and I would use the same hotel again and will more than likely use the Westin chain again. Thank you Westin Yorktown Lombard for an extremely welcoming and comfortable time.

This hotel is quite new. Room reflects this-extremely clean and neat, understated (yet very nice) decor. Perfect for business travel. Pool/spa/sauna were great. Staffing was a bit light. Response times were a little slow, but not bad enough to complain about. 25 minute drive into Downtown Chicago (just don't try it during rush hour).
