Weeknight at a great price

Posted Sep 7, 2014
We were in town for a funeral and this was a nice, convenient location at a great price on a special Expedia rate ($79 total with taxes). 2 king suite rooms for 4 adults. Pros: price, spacious rooms, location (near Woodfield Mall - 3rd largest in US and Medieval Times, also next door to model train factory). Cons: in hotel bar closed at 9 (even with first NFL game of the season), no History Channel on cable TV and no constant fan "on" setting for white noise (a/c cycling on/off was loud and disturbed sleep). Breakfast was reported to be great with lots of options.

The staff was friendly. They checked to see if everything was ok with our room. Rooms were clean and spacious. Very convenient location. Breakfast was an extra plus.

you get what you pay for. drunks pounding at my door at 1:45 and 3:45 am. Lousy cleaning outside the property, across the street from a kennel, dogs barking at 6 am the list goes on and on. if you are here for business spend the extra 20 bucks and stay at Marriott. The rooms are marignal; hot water comes in the toilet, pleasant experience. The room walls are sound but if anyone is above you it sounds like river dance.

Close to Ikea and Woodfield mall

The staff was friendly. The room seemed damp and humid even with the air on. Smelled damp as well. No fan in shower which didn't help the damp feeling I'm sure. Overall ok place but a little steep at 97.00.

Excellent hotel with very nice hotel staff

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: Location to shopping, the price and the modern conveniences.
Cons: Update some of the room furniture (like the sofa and the lounge chair in the room)
Location: Northwest of Chicago by about 1 hour. Major mall was only 5 minutes away.
First, this hotel was the best place to stay for us. It had tons of great shopping in the area (which made my wife happy), and the hotel was super awesome. It was very clean, with a great staff and great amenities. The room was immaculate, but a few of the items showed a little bit of age. For example, the bathroom vent louver was stuck shut and wouldn't open to properly vent the bathroom (simple fix for maintenance), and the couch and chair seemed like they were out of the 1980's with maybe a 1970's fabric pattern. But aside from that, the bed was awesome, both rooms had separate a/c units and worked like a champ.

Close to Harper college

We booked our room for two queen but received a king and a pull out couch. We were told that was an upgrade. Not sure how tha is considered an upgrade. When you tried to sleep in the pull out couch your feet were higher then your head. So you kept sliding downward. Barely could get the shower to work. Front desk staff was not very accommodating because we booked through expedia. The breakfast was good though.

Descent hotel, but...

Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff.
Cons: Breakfast hours, quality of food.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was good, however, the issue we had was with the construction. We were on the 3rd floor and we could hear the people above us walking back and forth. The floor/ ceiling was creaking as they walked. It woke my children from a sound sleep at 8 a.m. So if you can, stay on the top floor. The breakfast was standard fare, but it closed early we thought (9:30 a.m.) for a weekend. By the time we got downstairs (9:10) the kettle of oatmeal was almost gone and what was there was thick as paste. They did have a nice waffle maker, but we didn't try any.

The construction of the building is very cheap. People walking on the floor above us kept us awake all night.
