“So Glad I Chose this Hotel”

This was my first trip to Chicago and I was traveling alone. I'm so glad I chose this hotel because not only was it conveniently located (1 block away from the blue line and red line stops & within walking distance to many other things) but the staff was phenomenal. They were happy to give me recommendations on where to eat and directions on how to get to where I was going - they even printed me a few maps! I had a great experience.

“Honeymoon Celebration”

Just got married and we went to Chicago by train for the first time as part of our Honeymoon. The Blake Hotel upgraded us to a suite as a compliment for our wedding. Wow!! we had a view to the Sears Towers. The hotel its just a block away from the metro that goes around the Loop and two blocks west of Milenium Park. We really enjoy the service and location of the hotel. We are definitely booking this hotel again if we go to Chicago

“Highly Recommended”

I highly recommend this hotel and would absolutely stay there again. It is very reasonably priced and in an excellent location - especially if you are going for the marathon, as it's a short walk to the start/finish. The room was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is no longer a continental breakfast, which is too bad, but there is a Starbucks across the street and a Dunkin' Donuts a block away - plus numerous other lunch/supper options a short walk away. You will have to deal with the noises of a big city at night (sirens, traffic) but it's nothing a pair of earplugs couldn't solve if it was a problem.

“Great Location”

We spent a week at the Blake and were very happy with the experience. Everybody was very nice and helpful. The doorman was especially great at helping us find restaurants for dinner. We would definitely stay here again!

“Convenient to Lake Front”

Great price for great location. Clean, quaint and comfortable. Nicely updated. Parking was a bit pricey at $44/day though. Especially considering parking was not even on-site. Hotel should skip having a "continental" breakfast. Muffins were stale, fruit was bruised, but coffee was good. Nothing else to review b/c there was nothing else for breakfast...not even juice.

“The Blake is great!”

everyone in the hotel was friendly, helpful and very accomodating. We had to play with the heat setting a bit to make it a comfortable tempurature. When we checked in the room was very hot. Other than that, we loved it!

“Care, Comfort, Cleanliness”

The hotel was in an excellent position close to the "EL" line direct from the airport and just outside the loop. The quality of service, comfort and cleanliness is to be commended. The only other convenience we would have liked was a refridgerator as we are on a tight budget travelling for 12 months and try to self provide where possible. Kaye and Errol

“Great location”

My 7 year old and I stayed 3 nights. The staff was friendly and helpful even w/ questions about using the subway or kid friendly restaurants. Location was great- 1 block from the red line train to museums or Magnificent Mile. Pot Belly next door was excellent salad and sandwiches. Loved the high ceilings in the room and large double vanity. Some noise from the street below, but to be expected in downtown of a big city.
