Caliterra - This intimate, cherry-wood-accented room serves Californian and Italian fusion cuisine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Guests can dine on couches in the lounge, at romantic tables near the curved wall of windows, or in banquette seating. Breakfast consists of an elaborate buffet or a more traditional fare such as cereal and oatmeal. Lunch and dinner include organic salads, pastas, and seafood. The exhibition kitchen is lively at dinner, when a four- or six-course tasting menu and cheese cart is offered. A wine room can be reserved for small parties.
Recreation
The 20-mile-long lakefront path that borders Lake Michigan's shoreline is six blocks east of the Wyndham Chicago and is popular for running, walking, biking, or in-line skating. Bicycles, in-line skates, and pedal-powered buggies for groups are available for rent at several beachfront locations. During summer, Oak Street Beach, 0.5 mile north, and North Avenue Beach, 1.5 miles north, are popular for sunbathing and for swimming when lifeguards are on duty. Also in summer, beach volleyball courts are available for rental and pick-up games. Public tennis courts and a public golf course are both 4.5 miles northeast of the hotel.

“Was very satisfied with the hotel”
Was very happy with the hotel & there staff. Had a great time in Chicago, it was a good time of year to go.

Hotel is located downtown across the street from the hospital. we didnt get to spend any time at the hotel, but the time we were there, we enjoyed. Everyone was very courteous. It was a weekend stay only.
“Loved the Wyndham”
Had a wonderful stay at the Chicago Wyndham over Labor Day, '09. Staff was friendly and helpful, bed was super comfy, room was spacious and clean, bathroom was huge, soft fluffy robe! Locale is perfect for shopping the Mag Mile, lots of great restaurants close-by. It's my choice hotel every time I stay in Chicago.

Took my 9-year-old grandson on a 2-day trip to Chicago to see the museums and Navy Pier. Found an unbelievable deal for this 4-star hotel on Expedia. The location was perfect - a few steps away from the Magnificent Mile - and the hotel was superb, elegant, comfortable and pristinely clean. No better way to unwind after a long day of sightseeing than the pool or jacuzzi; and have never had a better night's sleep than I did on the Wyndham's bed ! Thanks to Expedia and Wyndham for a magnificent and affordable stay. Will definitely return.

“Highly Recommended Hotel”
Liked everything about this hotel - friendly staff, clean rooms with very comfortable beds, excellent location just off Michigan Avenue. The restaurant's $10 luncheon special was great and a great deal. Have been visiting Chicago every Christmas season for the last 12 years or so, and this is easily the nicest hotel we've stayed in. Highly recommended.

“Home Away From Home”
All the employees we met were most welcoming. When we needed an extra box of tissues or towels, the housekeeping staff responded quickly. A maintenance man came quickly to replace a lightbulb. Every worker at the hotel was polite and attentive. I definitely recommend it.
