"Great view of Buckingham Fountain "
This is an older hotel with some signs of aging. But our room was clean, and the view of Lake Michigan and Buckingham Fountain were great. It is right by Millennium Park, so you can walk to see Cloud Gate and the other cool sculptures that are there very easily.

Went into the city for our anniversary and not only had a memorable weekend but we were blown away by this hotel. Prime location, walking distance from the lake as well as shopping. The view from our room on the 22 floor was very nearly worth the price of the room.

"Not your run of the mill hotel"
Nice location for this quirky, old gentleman's sports club style hotel. Reception is amazing and harks back to a privileged past that only a few were fortunate to sample - until now! The staff will bend over backwards to help, and always were efficient and attentive, even when i came along with all sorts of off the wall requests. Many much more prestigious hotels should send in their secret shoppers to understand how it should be done. The 'Classic king' room was pretty small - even by NYC standards - and the lighting... it has to be the dimmest room i have ever stayed in. I ended up taking the main light fitting apart to get more light. The other odd thing is that my room didn't have any tea or coffee making facilities - I have never seen that before - and I really missed it. Overall a good experience and I would go back - but I might take a few higher wattage bulbs and a kettle with me next time!

"Perfect location, freshly renovated ho(s)tel"
Loved the location, walking distance to all the fun places. Beautifully designed, everything is new and looks very nice! The staff was nice and friendly, only it took the girl at the front desk 10 mins to find me a room. Not sure what was that about, as it was pre-paid. All in all, no complaints!
