Nice Hotel for the pricePosted Aug 3, 2014
Came to Oroville to work on a construction job for two weeks. Looked up hotels in Oroville on Expedia and saw Gold Country. The price was good for a king bed room so we booked two rooms. I was pleased with the room and all the staff we dealt with was great. The cafe and buffet were fine for food. We also liked that the parking lot had staff monitoring it as we had construction vehicles with tools on them. The bummer about this casino is the people that gamble there. Alot of sketchy types to say the least. And if you don't like smoke you'll be disappointed as a lot of the people gambling are smoking. But as we were there really to just have a nice clean room, we were satisfied. Also, no pool. That was a disappointment too as it was over 100 degrees everyday.

Gold Country Casino HotelPosted Jul 28, 2014
Our stay at Gold Country Casino Hotel was very comfortable. Check in was easy, altho we did have to wait for a room to be available. We ate at the cafe for breakfast and lunch and all our food was very good. The Steakhouse is closed on Tuesday, so we couldn't eat there, but have in the past. It is very good too, but a little pricey.

Clean new facility, "good weekday pricePosted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: Clean and quite with good beds and very nice baths.
Cons: Microwave in room and breakfast discount in cafe.
Very nice, clean and new. Free valet that is really not needed but a plus. Rooms very nice with large bathrooms, separate walk in showers, big tub, double sinks and inclosed toilet room. Beds are good but pillows really small. It has a refig under bar area but no microwave...

Spacious, clean room, comfy bed, nice linens.Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: Spacious rooms! Incredibly CLEAN! Lovely bath amenities.
Location: Hwy 49 is the gold mining route, lots of history! Just south, Yosemite National Park, a must see! to the east, Lake Tahoe.
Food was okay, Cosider it average. Senior discounts if you show your players card. Staff is very nice. Plenty of parking. Attractive building.

Great funPosted Jun 10, 2014 on Hotels.com
Room was large as was the bathroom with spa tube & separate shower. The only downside was they didn't seem to have a lot of tv choices and blockbuster movies were a bit pricy but still not bad. Besides I wasn't there for movies or tv but to have fun & try my luck which worked out well. Layout was nice very quite though I think my neighbor had allergies at times I could hear them sneezing once in a while even when brushing my teeth in the bathroom. Towels were soft though bed was too. Floor to ceiling windows were nice. Steak house was great will be going back again.

Nice hotel rude staffPosted Jun 8, 2014
The rooms were nice. Clean and comfortable. But there no amenities. No breakfast complimentary. Even charged for a news paper. I guess when I spend over $100 for a room I expect more. Other hotels offer these extras at no extra cost. Staff was rude and treated you as a homeless person when trying to figure out how much to charge you for a newspaper.
