“Great Stay”

I had an excellent stay here at the Holiday Inn. The room was very clean and the new bedding was very nice and comfortable. I also enjoyed their hot breakfast buffett that was only $6.00. What a deal. The staff was also very friendly everywhere that I went in the hotel. Next time I go to Chico I will definitly be staying here again!

“Way beyond what I had expected!”

Recently I was up visiting some family who live near the hotel and thought it would just be easier to book a room here. I was a little hesitant after reading a couple of the reviews, but I must say I would absolutely stay here again. And in fact I'm suggesting it to other family members as well. The hotel and accomodations seemed fresh and clean, the room was immaculate, and I didn't notice any noise from other rooms. The hotel staff was friendly, and I really enjoyed my stay. There is a bar and a restaurant on site, and this is a college town so I might expect that at times things potentially could get a little rowdy. I had seen this mentioned in a couple of the reviews. However this was not my experience at all, and I'm looking forward to my next visit!

“Very nice hotel in Chico”

I would recommend this hotel to anyone for sure! Very pleasant and exactly what I thought it would be. Very clean and comfortable.

“Good Value - expectations met”

No unpleasant surprises at this property. The staff was friendly, the breakfast buffet was excellent. The fixtures and public areas are showing wear from age, but there were no signs that this is a "party" hotel.

“A Nice Place to Stay”

the staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating - the hotel and rooms were also pleasant - the bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked well!

“Food service stinks”

The staff was great, but this hotel is cutting costs in dangerous ways. The restaurant has cut their breakfast buffet but they still advertise it with posters all over the main floor. They understaffed the restaurant, so the poor staff is extremely overworked. The bar menu has been reduced from what is posted in the elevator, and they don't even have the basics on the menu - no chicken fingers, really? Worst, I settled for turkey sandwiches to go, and when I opened the boxes they were HAM - we don't eat pork! My advice to the manager - don't over- promise. I would have been happy if I had been offered what could actually be delivered.

“No sleep”

I stayed in room #428 on 10/10 - 10/11/2009. This room was next to the emergency stair well door. Both night's beginning at 2:00am I was awakening by people using the stairs and slamming the stair hall door. I found this hotel not very sound proof. I could hear the lounge music in my room coming from the first floor. I however enjoyed the staff. They hotel was clean and the cont breakfast was tasty. I would stay there again but ask for a room not next to the stair well.

Average hotel. breakfast pretty ordinary but room was ok. Not the best deal, I am back from Louisianna where I had much better for same price .
