Convient hotel on the 5Posted Jul 1, 2015
Nice clean freeway close hotel. Christina was at the front desk and she was great after our 8 hour trip from Salem, Oregon.

Nice hotel right off the freewayPosted Jun 21, 2015
We were greated by super friendly staff and were allowed to check in a little early. The bed was very comfortable with top and bottom white sheets over a down comforter so you know it is washed daily. Good family restaurant close by and Starbucks next door so you can grab coffee as you hit the road

Pros: Access, speed, convenience
Location: Rice capital of the world?
Expedia made it easy to reserve, the desk staff made it easy to get in, and the room made it easy to sleep. The breakfast was easy, comprehensive and convenient.

Convenient and clean, close to ThunderhillPosted Apr 3, 2015
Pros: Pro: Staff was really nice, bed was comfortable, shower and bathroom was well appointed.
Cons: Small TV. Funky CD/alarm/radio was broken, but the alarm still worked. All the parking is in a lot at the back - no way to keep an eye on the car.
Location: Drive at Thunderhill, visit Wal Mart and people watch.
Overall a really pleasant experience - this is not a resort or priced as one. Other: They turned off the ice machine due to "noise". Not sure if it was really broken or normally too loud. Never heard it run so don't know.

Great hotel, best for the location.Posted Mar 20, 2015 on Hotels
Surprisingly good for the location. Comes with a mini fridge and a microwave. Very convenient but parking is at the back and fills quickly on Fridays and weekends when there are track events.

Not staying there again.Posted Mar 10, 2015 on Hotels
Staff was not trained properly. Upon check-in they wanted a $100.00 deposit for the room. Said if the deposit was paid by credit card I would not see my 'refund' of $100 for 5 to 8 days. I opted to give them $100 in cash. Which they said they would return the next morning on checkout. I asked for a receipt for the $100 and they didn't know how to create one nor did they have the ability to write an actual receipt. After phone calls to her manager and attempting to find a form on the computer she finally wrote me a receipt. Next morning it took about 20 minutes looking in every drawer and under shelves and asking her manager where it might be for the desk to find my $100 cash and to refund it! People behind me in line were getting irate. Before the gal would give me the money back she had to inspect my room Leaving 3 customer in line without a word. They were not happy. The least the manager could have done was stand in for the gal at the counter while she was inspecting my room for any missing $100 towels. But, the manager on duty was too busy BS'ing with someone in the break room. I believe they want you to forget about the credit card or cash deposit so they can keep it. Because obviously they have no system for taking, holding and returning it in a professional manner.

I've been to this particular HiE many times (basically anytime I go to Thunderhill Raceway). It's the newest and most expensive of the bunch, but generally has no problems. This time the room hadn't been turned over --- which was a first --- but the front desk made it right. It's about the same as any HiE ever, but it is the best hotel in town. Bed is good. Shower water pressure is a little low.
